Can you put a 10ga cable through the hole?

I was able to put 8ga cable without a struggle, so 10ga should fit easilly.

For those who drilled holes to attach cable entry gland to the rv roof, how many holes did you have to drill and what size screws did you use?

I centered the holes in each corner then split the center again for a total of 8 holes . All equal spacing . I used #10 ss pan head Philips drive screws. I also used 3m marine sealant on the screws and bottom of housing to assure a water tight seal. Hope this helps.

What size product do i need for 10 awg wire??

Willy, you ask a good question, however it depends on the makeup of the wire you choose for your project. The rubber sleeves in this gland can handle 2-6 mm or .0787-.2362 in or 5-15/64ths in. diameter wire and jacket. How many conductors do you have in one wire? 1 or 12 ? What amperage do you expect to carry? 12 or 40 amps? Look up the specs on 10 AWG wire and you can decide whether this entry gland will work for the size wire you decide to use. You may also need to pull up a mm to in calculator when determining wire size. Good Luck.

My solar project is on a 16’ cargo conversion. I installed two panels on the roof. I needed this gland in order to make solar cable intry to the utility space i have under a cabinet. This gland has held up nicely after a year. I do recommend placing a small screw in both the front and rear of this gland to help secure to the metal roof. On warm days the gland wanted to lift up after the RV roof sealer got hot. The two small stainlesss screws did the job. I do recommend this gland if you are adding solar panels on your RV or conversion project.

Good item arrived in time. Used this to bring two WiFi co ax through the roof of Motorhome. Works fine. Did drill some holes around the flange and glued and screwed to the roof. WiFi coax are very small to able to pass the connectors through the gland and then fit the unit to roof. Just fits under the antenna stand off bracket as well.
