Necessary part
Bought for my vacuum sealer because it did not come with one. Great addition to the package so that I can use different types of bags.

Not compatible with Nesco vacuum sealers.
I ordered this for my Nesco VS-12 but its not compatible. Not this products fault, doesn't specifically say it would work.

Great for Food Saver owners--see below
If you already own a Food Saver sealer with the Accessory Port this is GREAT! The Food Saver accessory line--which comes with--I think, both my old FS which broke came with it, and my new one--well, that FS line plugs right into this adapter! Nothing else needed. I just tested it on a FS reusable vacuum bag. Works like a charm.Now Amazon doesn't carry the FS adapter:>>Currently unavailable.We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.<<So I got this, figured if it doesn't fit I could MacGyver it. Nothing needed. Just plugged the FS vacuum line into this line. That's it. The FS one, if available, costs twice as much--the shipping from FS is the price of this adapter.You can't go wrong as long as you have the Food Saver accessory line.
