Great seller
When I first receive these compasses, they were exactly what I wanted in size and look, but they were kind of wonky. I didn’t think that they worked and asked for a refund. It was issued immediately. I think it was just from shipping now and now they appeared to all working well. I googled it and it sounded like it’s pretty normal when they first come out of shipping.

15 out of 20 DOA, one leaking on arrival.
Unless you’re looking for a display item, save your time & money and pass these over. Pros: 1. Quick to ship. I would recommend some padding when they’re shipped. One was leaking oil on arrival. 2. Small. They measure about 1/2” diameter and 1/4” thick. 3. Count was correct, they shipped 20 items. Cons: 1. High rejection-3/4 of them didn’t work. 2. Oil filled. Can leak and frequently get bubbles, causing false readings. Elaboration: 5 out of 20 compasses pointed appropriately north. The other 15 were unresponsive and went immediately in the trash. The surviving 5 will eventually get tossed when they stop working. They’re oil-filled which get air bubbles, degrading performance in the beginning and eventually jamming the needle. In the ad photo, they appeared to be dry compasses. The ad text doesn’t mention this. One compass was leaking oil on arrival and left a wet spot. See center of photo. Not worth the time for a refund-discarded most of them. Not for serious use. OK for micro survival kits, although dry compasses work better and last longer. I recommend checking the compass annually to ensure it works and lacks bubbles. If you’re looking for an inexpensive giveaway toy, expect a high rejection rate.
