Perfect coffee everytime
LOVE, love, love this coffee maker. Cant tell you how many others I have sitting in my garage to give away. This is perfectly simple and does everything it is supposed to do in a beautiful and tasty way! Makes awesome coffee in a jiffy and does not have a huge footprint on the counter, very compact. Cant go wrong with this machine!

Convenient, quick and simple to use!
We absolutely love this coffee maker! It has been a game changer as we are trying to phase out our use of plastic coffee pods. The single cup brews in about 3 minutes so you’re not sacrificing the convenience that using coffee pods has given for so long. The auto feature is also a major convenience and time saver so you can set the machine to brew your coffee and be ready for when you wake up!

Versatile, Easy-to-Use With Gold Cup Quality
This coffee maker looks and feels pretty solid. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it is easy to use and works well so far. It’s made of stainless steel and plastic. I appreciate that the carafe is made of glass and is lightweight which makes it easy to handle. It’s great to have those multiple settings where you can customize with Over- Ice, Cold Brew, Gold or Bold at the touch of a button. Over-ice is my fave. With the multiserve dial, you can choose from 7 different brewing sizes depending on your needs - from a single cup to a full carafe. It’s Gold Cup Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) certified, so this machine meets high-quality brewing standards. This is especially notable since only around 30 home brewers currently hold this certification. I particularly love the dedicated hot water dispenser since I am also a tea drinker. I can enjoy my tea without the coffee taste. Plus, it has adjustable keep warm which keep my coffee or water warm for up to 4 hours. It’s pod-free and comes with a reusable gold tone filter which is better for the environment and saves money over time. The biggest drawback for me is the plastic filter basket. During brewing this can get very hot and a bit messy too. It’s BPA-free but still, the potential for chemical leaching is still concerning. Overall, this coffee maker is versatile, easy to use and delivers great-tasting coffee.

Nice....
I love this coffee maker. The brew is perfect. I have not tried the cold coffee option as I prefer my coffee hot. It is easy to set up for automatic brewing, easy to set up how long you would like the warming plate to heat for the pot that sits on it, and easy to clean. I wish it was 1/2" shorter in height in order to fit perfectly under the cabinet. My cabinets are 15" above the countertop and this coffeemaker is 15" tall. I cannot slide it under the cabinet no matter what! But, the pros offset that problem... Still love it.

Good Coffee until it breaks
I bought this machine and it leaked from day one from the filter, but I kept it cause i liked the other features. At 5 months it started making the wrong amount of coffee and the H20 light kept coming on. If i made 22 oz, it made .05 instead if I moved it to a cup it made 4 cups. It was all over the place. I use spring water and expensive coffee so wasting it is not something I appreciate. It would take 5 mins to put out 2 cups. The light would come on and even after unplugging several times then I finally could get it come off for that time. I contacted the company through product support, took them a few days before i got an email. After doing 10-15 emails back and forth with them and sharing 15 photos and 2 15 min video's-showing the issues, they contact me that it is acting normal and will not honor the warranty of sending a new machine. OMG....This retired Army SFC was not happy. This machine is NOT made to last and the company is not willing to honor it. DO NOT BUY IT. I bought the cheaper one now and I am happy. If the company would of honored the warranty then I would of been fine, the emails were talking down to me and demanding I had to send videos a certain way and everytime I had to do something different-VERY RUDE AND NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I do not lie and do not appreciate the TONE of the emails and then the last email was this:Thank you for reaching out to Braun Customer Support. We sincerely apologize for the H20 error message appearing on your coffee machine, and we appreciate you sharing the videos with us.After reviewing the video, we observed normal behavior and were not able to identify the error. To move forward, we kindly ask you to share your phone number so we can assist you further. In the meantime, we recommend descaling the unit. For your convenience, please refer to the descaling instructions document. This machine will tell you when to descale and will not let you ignore it. I HAVE DESCALED THIS MACHINE MORE THAN ANY MACHINE I HAVE EVER HAD. IT WOULD POP UP EVERY 3 WEEKS. They didn't ask me if I had descaled it before, they assumed I was the issue. It would leak so bad after making coffee or anytime you made coffee from the first day the filter piece at the bottom never worked right but it was documented by many people on amazon and their page and they never fixed it. I thought buying a higher cost with a good name will be a better machine. NOT TRUE since the company could care less. They might want to hire better customer service reps to work their email and phones. I will never buy Braun or De’Longhi products ever again.

Rebuttal to previous review (which was entitled, "I HATE this coffee maker").
I was flabbergasted by a previous review of this coffee maker, entitled "I HATE this coffee maker." So, I decided to write a response. I am not affiliated with Braun. I purchased this coffee maker, I love it, and I simply believe that the previous review is unfair. So, here we go: The reviewer wrote:"My biggest gripe: The water level indicator for the reservoir is inside the reservoir with some sort of stepped dip stick of sorts. You are suppose to look into this dark reservoir and see the level of the water against this indicator."LOL. No. The carafe that comes with this coffee maker is clearly marked, making the "dip stick" markers inside the unit redundant. One needs only to fill the *carafe* to the desired level, then pour the water into the machine. It is NEVER necessary to "look into the dark reservoir."The Reviewer wrote:"…a 1 to 4 cup setting that is never explained fully. Instructions say to use this feature if you are making 1 to 4 cups. […] Absolutely NO description of what it does. Does it brew faster, slower, more water, less water; who knows."Well, it's obvious that the "1-4" setting is for a shorter brew time. So, what further information is required? If you're making as few as 1-4 cups, press the button—and the machine will adjust accordingly. If you're making 5 or more cups, don't press the button! It's literally that simple. The reviewer wrote:"None of the manufactures [sic] make it clear what type of filter they use. Braun included."That is simply false. The second sentence under "About this item" is: "The Braun gold-tone filter enhances the flavour of your coffee." The filter type is also mentioned both on Braun's web site and on the product's box. It's mentioned everywhere. The reviewer wrote:"Braun decided to make it difficult to fill using the carafe. The lid on the carafe and the lid coffee maker are in the way of each other and prevent a decent pour resulting in water all over the burner and counter sometimes."I have no clue why the above was written. I've been using this coffee maker several times a day for weeks. I have no problem pouring water into the machine, and I have literally never spilled even a drop of water. The reviewer wrote:"The coffee maker has an auto shutoff too. Always a nice feature when you forget to turn it off manually. And this maker has an adjustable time for the auto off. The problem is you have to turn the auto off feature on in order for it to work. Great! A feature for the forgetfulness that requires you to remember."NOTE: This coffee maker shuts off *automatically*—WITHOUT the need to press the button. The button is required *only* if you want to specify a *specific time* for it to shut off. Otherwise, just make your coffee, then go about your business, and the coffee maker will shut itself off—100% of the time. The reviewer wrote:"Update: I have been using this coffee maker for a couple of weeks now and felt compelled to update this review. I HATE THIS COFFEE MAKER!!!" […] "I have changed the 3 stars to 1 and the review title to more accurately reflect how I feel about this piece."Well, every issue that the reviewer mentioned is addressed in the manual—or in this rebuttal—and not one of those issues is a problem in the least. For the record, before purchasing, I searched high and low—and finally chose ths coffee maker. And it's fantastic! Five stars!

Great Coffee maker!
After doing some googling, I saw that Braun has a reputation for top-notch and high quality coffee makers. I decided to give the Braun MultiServe Plus Drip coffee maker a go, and I am very happy I did! It is a good looking appliance, stylish, sturdy and well built. It has 7 programmed brewing sizes as follows: 5oz, 8oz, 12oz, 16oz, 20oz, half carafe (25oz) or full carafe (50oz). A full carafe holds five 10oz cups of coffee, which is pretty standard. It can brew an entire carafe "in less than 8 minutes," which I can verify is indeed true. I typically drink a 16oz mug of coffee every morning. Using the Gold option, my coffee comes out PERFECT. It tastes amazing, and the temperature is just right IMO (I have seen some reviews state it is not hot enough). It finished my 16oz mug in 3.5 minutes after hitting start.I have to note here, I wasn't specifically looking for a coffee maker that makes cold brew coffee, but now that I have one, I am thrilled! I love it. It makes cold brew in less than 15 minutes. This would take FOREVER doing it other ways, so in the past I have rarely made it myself. I think this might be new favorite thing about this coffee maker, frankly. I have already used this feature several times, and I've only had the coffee maker about a week.Though I usually prefer freshly ground beans, I am happy to report that it is fully programmable. Using the Auto on function, you can set the machine to brew coffee up to 24 hours in advance, which is definitely useful for those days you know you are going to be in a hurry the next morning. You can also change the amount of time it keeps the carefe warm after coffee is made, from 15 minutes all the way up to 4 hours. The warmer turns on automatically if you select a half or a full carafe. You can also turn it off/on manually. I tested out the auto program to see how easy it was, and it worked perfectly, and was very simple. Finally, it has a 3 year warranty coverage to ensure lasting performance. This definitely gives me confidence that, unlike my last coffee maker brand that broke a month after 1 year warranty ended, this coffee maker is going to last me long time! Companies don't offer 3 year warranties often, and when they do, it means the item is built to LAST.TLDR: I am enthusiastically satisfied with this coffee maker. It makes amazing coffee, easy and quick, has plenty of options, and is built to LAST. I have already recommended it to a few friends/family members.

I wanted to like it....
I wanted to like this machine. Braun made very good machines years ago, my favorite until no longer made for the US market. Now that Braun is back in the US, I was happy to buy this sleek, modern machine to replace our Waring Pro that recently failed. The Braun is easy to set up, looks great, and is ultra-modern. Unfortunately, it does not make great coffee that has rich, deep flavor. I believe it’s shortcomings lie in Braun’s desire to satisfy the market expectations of fast brew time, little to no loss of steam, and very little noise. Firstly, it brews quite quickly, even on the “bold” setting, which does slows it down by several minutes. However, brewing too fast reduces residence time between the grounds and water, leading to a weak brew product. Secondly, the machine produces very little steam, which appears to be the result of a low brewing temperature. I measured the brewing temperature on several runs at a consistent 180 degrees F, much lower than the optimal range of 195 F to 205 F. This, again, results in a weak brew product. Thirdly, it produces very little noise, also a result of a too low brew temperature. The top of the machine opens to reveal the grounds basket (cone) and the water inlet. Not a great design having both so close together, but not a deal breaker. What is concerning, though, is the size of the grounds basket. It is much shorter than the one in my failed Waring Pro. Using the same amount of coffee as i had always used in my failed machine, the used grounds formed up to the top of the basket, nearly overflowing. Adjusting to a coarser grind did not solve this issue. I could not test using more coffee to get a stronger brew because doing so will result in an overflow of the basket, either into the carafe or into the water inlet. The “bold” setting seemed to have no perceptible effect on the richness and flavor of the brew produced by the Braun, despite a slightly longer brew cycle.A great looking machine, but for the price should be able to make a great pot of coffee.

Great Coffee, Simple and Reliable
Really happy with this coffee maker. The coffee tastes great and stays hot without tasting burnt. I like the Bold option and the pause feature when I want to grab a cup before it’s done. It’s simple to use, easy to clean, and looks nice on the counter. Good quality for the price. I definitely recommend it.

Had absolutely no problem with temperature
We've only had the coffee machine for one day, so take from that what you will. A lot of the reviews complain about the temperature, and there is a warning on the page that its a frequently returned item. We were a bit skeptical because of that, but in our experience the coffee was *too* hot, and we looked through the manual to see if there was a way to turn down the temperature on the regular brewing. It doesn't seem like there is a way, but if people are complaining about the temperature, maybe it was a faulty device. This machine is pretty much perfect for what we need, it brews a great cup. Maybe our old machine was just really bad at brewing, but it was also a Braun, so we didn't expect the flavour to be different. The coffee tastes more flavourful. The extra spot for water to come out of the machine means we don't also need a kettle, and that works very quickly as well. It takes a bit of a learning moment to operate, because there is a switch that you have to use before you set the brew, and then switch it back when it's done brewing. Definitely recommend, I'm very happy with it

It works flawlessly and delivers fresh coffee every morning.
The first unit arrived with a cracked glass coffee pot. One phone call and another one was sent to me free. Btw, they told me to keep the old machine. I picked up a spare glass pot from a thrift store and then donated the basically brand new unit to the local women’s shelter. They were very happy. I felt very good. Needless to say that Braun makes a number one product!!! I love his machine. The timer works perfectly and wakes me up with the smell of fresh coffee every morning.
