Jims makes great tools.

I have a 1997 Ultra with the cast wheels. This tool didn't fit inside the bearing hub. I had to call California to find out what the problem was if I had the wrong tool or if I was doing something wrong. Everything was correct except that the tool was .050" too large in diameter. I was told to "GRIND IT DOWN". I told "JIMS" that I payed $100++ dollars for this tool and their response is to "GRIND IT DOWN". Had I known that's what I would have to do, it would have saved a phone call. You guys at JIMS couldn't have put in a sentence with the instructions stating the possibility of a problem with using this tool. I don't own a machine shop so "GRIND IT DOWN" is a bit more problematic when all you have is craftsmen tools and a 2 car garage. All I'm saying is a heads up would have been nice.

Unfortunately, this is the only tool I could find to remove the races on a 1988 FLHTC cast wheel. The hub shoulders prevent a punch from reaching the back of race. I think it's overpriced considering it doesn't come with the tool handle and then you must grind the driver spacer to fit through the hub shoulders. I was able to use a 1/2-inch diameter x 10-inch long bolt as a tool handle rather than spending another $70 for the JIMS handle. And who's to say that wouldn't have needed more modifications?

High quality tool, very precisely made. Tried a blind-hole puller, 3 jaw puller with no success. This tool (with their handle, bought separately) removed and installed my Timkin races perfectly. Wish I had ordered them earlier.
