I'm asking about emptying the tank BEFORE it is full. Do I have to turn the unit off first and if so, do I need to wait before turning it on again?

Hello, You don’t need to unplug or turn off the machine once you pull the bucket out it will turn off itself and once you dump the bucket and put it back it will resume working again.

How long does it usually take for a dehumidifier to dry out a room?

Depends on square footage also what percent of humidity that you want to maintain. We maintain 50% humidity in a 500 sq foot room. It takes about 2 hours to achieve that. You will also be emptying your water collection bucket about every 24 hours

Can you turn the alarm off so it doesn't buzz when full?

I am very glad that you are interested in our dehumidifier. As you said, you want to prevent him from buzzing when the water tank is full. This problem can be solved in other ways. There are two ways to drain the product itself. The first type of manual drainage is to manually pour out the water in the water tank of the tank and then put the bucket back in, but this method will make a buzzing sound 15 times. The second type of automatic drainage is to connect the hose that comes with the product to the link at the water tank. This solves the problem of turning off the alarm clock.
