Great value compared to higher price mics.
This Boya shotgun mic has very good audio for what is essentially a budget microphone. Superb value for money really. It’s light and doesn’t unbalance my video camera. Simple plug and play and the dead cat works very effectively. Super happy with this.

Great quality for the price
I'm going back to products I have been using for a while and giving them reviews based on extensive usage. This mic was bought as a backup to my Røde NTG-1, which is now very old. Honestly, I think the Boya is as good. In fact, I now use this as my main shotgun mic. I'm a professional videographer rather than a sound person but I've never had any complaints about or problems with the audio whilst using this mic. I've used all the top brands and would definitely buy this again as the difference in price is enormous.

I bought the BY-BM6060, and what can I say. It's a great budget microphone. It works. It's a Super-cardioid condenser mic. But here's the catch. It's cheap, so you can buy it. But It sounds worse than mid range options like the Sennheiser mke 600 or even the rode videomic pro. And I know, these microphones are €250, that's more than double the price of this one. But come on man, you're spending €1.000 to even €10.000 to buy the latest and greatest, camera's, lenses and grip. And you're going cheap on audio? By the time you actually need a super-cardioid microphone instead of something like the €30-50 videomic or lavalier options. You will want something nice, something that sounds good, straight out of the camera. Audio is like half your video, and you should respect it as such. Get your money up, buy the better option or accept shallow sounding audio.

I was always using a ball shaped microphone, typically a condensor mic, but even with mousse shielding all around, it picks up noise 360 degrees. I wanted something that sounds like the telephone head mounted systems but with nothing on my head, but does not pick up surrounding noise. An excellent mic at a great price. 10/10 + FIFINE SC3 48v mixer

La qualità è buona, fanno scena e nella confezione c'è anche il pellicciotto anti-vento. Mi sembra un buon acquisto!

I use this with the zoom essentials H4, and really love the sound it produces. It doesn't seem to cut out side and rear noises 100%, but if it's close to the subject you're recording, the difference between the main sounds and the background sounds are enough to give you good separation . I'm a professional photographer, but new to video and the whole audio world. I realize that there's a big difference between a microphone costing a few hundred dollars and this one, but for me just starting out, this has really improved my audio quality quite a lot . As a bonus, you can actually use a AA battery installed in the microphone if your recorder doesn't provide 48 volt phantom power. But I haven't tried that yet . Overall, very happy with this purchase . I saw somebody's video showing that the microphone wasn't aligned properly with the hot shoe mount and that the mount was loose. There are two adjusters on the mount. One is for tightening the mount to the hot shoe, and the second one tightens the collar to the microphone. So you can align it however you want in any direction you want and then lock it into place. Maybe that wasn't so obvious to the person that shot the video. Or maybe it was a competitor trying to discredit this brand. But I have no faults with it.
