You can start to learn by using this heli but you'll need to be patient. It gives you 3 modes of operation. Normal for beginners that self rights the heli. Stunt 1 that allows for more radical flight movements and gives negative pitch. Stunt 2 that allows for 3d flight. Very aggressive maneuvers. I would recommend Venom FLY brand 180mah 45C 1S 3.7V LiPo's... A 4 pack it around $20... They come with the 1.25 JST connector that fits Parkzone and Eflite UMX aircraft. This helicopter has a 1.25jst plug for power. These batteries seem to be well constructed, take an average of 140mah when depleted to 3.4 volts. Roughly 4 minutes of flight time with the NANO S3... 5 + minutes in other fixed wing "Micro UMX" type airplanes. 2 "4 packs" of these Venom FLY 180mah 45C LiPo's and a Wolfwhoop USB 1 cell micro LiPo charger that charges 6 batteries at a time and you can easily fly enough in a hour or 2 that you will burn up the motor... Make sure to let the heli sit a few minutes and cool off before cycling more than 1 battery at once. Hope this helps. Overall easy to use durable decent in light wind for size and great intro into collective pitch helicopters. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty decent entry-level RC heli *by B***D on March 8, 2021* I bought this on kind of a half-whim, by which I mean I got the whim and then spent several days watching videos and reading reviews until I decided that this is the model I wanted to get once it became available. I haven't flown RC helicopters before, and I chose this one knowing that the learning curve would be a little harder than some others, but so far I've been having a blast with it. With the remote in "Stability Mode Z" it operates just like a fixed-pitch heli, and it helps you stabilize it, so it's pretty good for learning on, but gives you room to grow with once you've become comfortable with it and are ready to move on to the full-control collective pitch mode (which I haven't tried yet).
