What kind & how many batteries? How long do they last?

Takes Four D batteries but this is supposed to be touch-less, who wants to be opening up the nasty trash lid to replace them each month?! Shocking they don’t include the power adapter and currently charge roughly $24 for one! They don’t tell you what the rating is because they want you to buy theirs but I can tell you it takes a DC 6V 1A power supply that you can find much cheaper than theirs. Even the universal adapters that allow you to change up to 12V and 12A to use on other devices are much cheaper.

What bags do you use for this? It's 14 gallons, but I'm only finding 13 gallons bags...

It fits any 13-18 gallon trash bags

Lid opens as its supposed to but no longer closes. Can this be replaced its approximately 3 months old?

Go back to the store where you bought it and they should replace it.

This is one of the best kitchen inventions. It locks in the bad smell. It has a scent detector on the inside. It opens by the waive of the hand. It's mouth is large enough so that you will not spill garbage on the floor.
