Call me impressed. This radio is beautiful. The built quality is excellent. The DAB+ and FM reception is great and the sound is excellent as well: full bodied and warm. I hesitated getting the almost 2 times more expensive Revival iStream instead. What if the DAB+ reception wouldn't work properly? I at least would have the option of internet radio. But fortunately DAB+ work flawlessly. A couple of years ago (in 2019) I had ordered its 1970's styled brother the Roberts Rambler, but I had it returned because of its audio, a lack of bass, for music the sound was rather thin and without substance. That radio, although beautiful, was built very light and hollow. But it appears Roberts has updated and improved that radio! The Rambler I got at the time was smaller and much lighter than my Revival RD70. The new Rambler, called Rambler Classic is a bit bigger and has a similar weight as the Revival RD70. (There is also the Rambler Uno, which has almost the same size as the Rambler I got and there is the Rambler mini). I am pretty sure this new Rambler Classic will sound great, at least more on par with my Revival RD70. If I had knew about this upgrade I may have bought this new Rambler Classic instead, well at least I would have had a hard time choosing :)

I had an old Roberts revival for years, in fact still have it, still going strong 25 odd years later. Fancied a DAB one as listen to Radio 6 music. I picked it up today in cream as cheaper than the others and it looks fab, sticking to the revival look and size. Easy to tune and the sound quality is superb. I recently bought a DAB/CD player from Pure because I also have an old Evoke Evo which is excellent but the sound quality for new Pure items has gone very downhill compared to the originals. No such problem with this Roberts, it has good bass, not at all tinny and just a fab little radio. I hope it lasts!

Absolutely stunning radio. Sound is much better than a lot of other portable DAB radios on the market. Quaility is fit for a King (I can see why it's by appointment to his majesty now ๐). Does come with UK power plug so keep that in mind (Australia can use an adaptor, and it takes batteries which works amazing too). The user interface on this has got to be the best I've ever experienced, everything works intuitively and smoothly and as it should. Definitely worth the investment.

I spent some time researching my purchase of a new alarm radio. I'd had an old Roberts alarm radio which was great and still working fine, but it wasn't DAB. This RD70 in Duck Egg Blue is expensive, but worth every penny. Because the time display is small and set on top of the radio, I also purchased a simple digital alarm clock https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09277XRZ6?ref_=pe_27063361_487360311_302_E_DDE_dt_1 (not bothering with the alarm of course) so that I can see the time easily. This way I get a quality alarm radio AND a visible clock, albeit in two products. The instructions with the RD70 are really clear and it's relatively straightforward to operate/set up. The sound is rich and quite 'bassy'. It's good to have the opportunity to adjust bass and treble, BUT my only slight beef is that on low volume the treble (in voices for example) is lost. If you're hesitating, DON'T. It's a great product if a little pricey. I hope this helps
