Got this to be able to attach my lens to a tripod easily. So much easier than trying to thread a screw into the included hole on the lens. Now I can put my lens onto the tripod and take it off quickly and easily. Must get it tight, but once you've gotten it tightened down, it's not going anywhere.

Looks like nicely built, mounts without issues and seems secure enough. 2 drawbacks: - it’s quite heavy - center of mass is way behind the mounting point/foot so the whole setup will be really back heavy when on tripod

My biggest issue is that you can't really use it as a carrying handle. I can barely slip two fingers in. Locks solidly to an Arca-style clamp.

Would have been nice if Canon included a tripod base to the long lens, but I guess times are tough for everyone. The product does the job, but there is no way to tilt for portrait shots unless mounted to a ball head. Good product over all and provided a simple solution to Canon's stinginess.

Glad iShoot came out with this solution for the two bulky Canon RF 600mm and 800mm lenses. Well designed and built, it fits perfectly and becomes and integral part of the lens offering great stability when connected to a tripod or monopod.. The native Arca Swiss plate at the base is a great solution for a quick utilization on tripod heads, the recommended solution.

Fits securely and provides the best solution to handling the new RF-800 and RF-600 lenses. I put one on and left it on. Highly recommended.

Fits like a glove on the RF 800mm F11. Great addition even if you don't use a tripod just to have something to hold while you're carrying it around, while still having enough clearance to cup your hand around the len's underneath it.

Works great! I needed to use a little “lock tight” as it kept loosening. I’ve been using it on my “Canon RF 800mm Prime” lens for about 3 yrs.

Getting tired of carrying camera on my neck straps, i finally got this collar. It really helps me to hold the camera and lens while bird watching. Did not try yet on tripod though. However it is definitely value for money and quality is good.
