Phenominal! Get the one with LED to indicate data activity on the pins...like the good old days with Blackbox & RadioShack breakout boxes. Don't forget to get a couple of null modem & gender benders...you'll likely need them if youre working on different flavors of routers & switches.

This is the FIRST USB-SERIAL ADAPTER that WORKS with my old Phillips Pronto. I bought 3 Adapters USB-Serial before and NONE of them worked. This is working 100%. Just set the Com Port to 1 (Instead of Com Port 3). I'm so happy I could dance. I get my Pronto IR Remote Controls to work with my newer hardware. Yippie! The lights on the adapter are helpful. I figured them out as follows.: RED-ON YELLOW-transmitting GREEN-fast transmitting Unfortunately the manual is a flaw. Could have been a bit more detail.
