It's Delish is, let's face it, expensive. That said, their crystallized and sugared ginger product is the bomb, to die for, the bee's knees, hot, spicy, flavorful and thoroughly, massively, addictive. Far from being just for snacking, this ginger can also be used in dishes as is, if you want a little sweet, or after soaking in water of you want to stick to savory only. As provided the product is soft and fresh, and we kept it that way by sealing in proper container (one gripe, truly minor, is the idiocy of the permeable plastic bag. Really?). Love it. Buy it. I've only had a few so far, but i think they're about perfect. Maybe a tad mild, but these slices seem to have been dried just right. There are some other good brands out there, but I like that these aren't sticky and only 2 ingredients.

There is so much ginger in 5lbs! It will be a while before I need more! The flavor is spicy and ginger-y and wonderful. The ginger I received is cut with the grain rather than across the grain, which does affect the texture some. It is also slightly drier than the bulk ginger with preservatives that I have bought from the store before. It is also slightly darker. I tasted the darker and lighter pieces and the flavor is not affected by the color. The texture is also not at all like the Reed's brand ginger chunks which is very jelly-like. The only thing that would make them better is if they were cut across the grain rather than with. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Edit: I've been snacking on these for about a month and a half, and I am still happy with them. Since many of these are cut with the grain, the fibers are longer-ish, and sometimes stick in my teeth. Otherwise these are great, and the flavor is very potent. When I eventually run out, I'll probably buy these again.

Giving 1 star for quick e-mail response. You buy it, it's yours, they will not take back any open bags. What if it was a bad batch?? How does a customer know if they are getting quality if they can not taste it? No costumer satisfaction with this company. No bite, no kick and absolutely no ginger flavor! NO GINGER FLAVOR AT ALL! Stuck with 5 lbs. of rubber chips covered in sugar crystals. WENT BACK TO NUTS U.S.

I purchased the 5lb package of ginger. The shipment arrived perfectly packaged - no tears, no rips, no busted bag, and literally a 2-day shipment. As for the ginger itself, it's not overly sugared. I'm not having to rub the sugar off as other brands had over done it with sugar. The ginger has that nice kick and still sweet enough to not burn your mouth. Some pieces were too dry, it was like ginger-jerky. It seems like it's a 50/50 with nice plumpy pieces that explode with flavor in my mouth and others that are so dry I have to spit it out. For 5lbs it's priced fairly, I would have preferred another brand, but I'm not paying $70 for 5lbs of ginger. Thank you for a good product.

My husband loves these. He says they taste better than the other brand we used to get. He likes that there's not as much sugar on them. He eats them when he has an upset stomach and says they are very effective for that. (However, I've caught him snacking on these just because, so I know they are tasty beyond the medicinal properties.

Best value, best taste... I use as a topper every day for my yogurt, fruit-filled breakfast every morning. Rinse a small selection under warm water to remove excess sugar; dice it up and enjoy... soft and easy to cut or eat whole. ginger helps digestion and the gut as well.

The ginger was exactly what I wanted for my ginger spice cookies. I ordered the five pound bag to check it out and it met my approval. Next time I'll order the 11 pounder!
