Texture Powder (10Oz)

Sprinkled 3 light taps on palm, worked into hair and it lasted throughout the day / more than 9 hours. Definitely longer lasting and has a stronger hold than other brands such as Slick Gorilla.

I discovered Mr. Pompadour from their actual hair salon / barber shop in Raleigh, NC. They introduced me to this texture powder and it has worked great every time I use it. My hair grows in thick, so in order to use gel to style it I have to use A LOT and I just don’t like how it looks. Just a little bit of this and it holds perfectly while looking like no product is in my hair. Doesn’t seem like a lot in there but it lasted me months and I use it just about every day. I be ordered my second before I ran out of the first actually.

My hair is fine, oily, a bit thin, and rests flat on the head regardless of the haircut. However, this expensive bottle of cocaine manages to dry up my hair for a full 24 hours. Amazing. The crazy texture and volume you get from this are just nice byproducts. It disappears into my dark brown hair without problem. Though, it makes your hair feel rough. That may bother some people, but I'm basically buying this as a dry shampoo. Here's some positive anecdotes! I've been cutting my own hair for a decade, yet it wasn't until using this product that I got complements on the same texturing I've always put into my hair. Within 2 weeks of using it a drunk dude even tousled my hair (... hello comrade?) and commented on how bushy it is. Had they done that before they would have been groused out by all the grease. The only downside is the price. Since that depends on how long it lasts, I'll update this review when I run out. Update: 2 months. My hair is 2-4 inches and I used this ~every other day. So, $10 a month for a dry shampoo? $120 a year? That's at least 60 loaves of bread right there. My hair is not that valuable. But, it's nice to know there are products out there that work! Thanks!

Very good product; adds more volume than others I've used, and I have very fine hair. Leaves my hair looking very natural and dry. product washes out well and easily with shampoo. Compared to American crew: crew is also very good, but not as good as this product. Crew doesn't add as much volume and can often build up and does not wash out well. The only downside is I question their measurement methodology for the amount of product in the bottle; it is clearly less than American Crew boost powder and likely below what is listed on the label.

I tried this based on reviews, but the texture was not a light powder like I expected. It does the job, but it does turn my hair more white than other products.
