Blueprint EZGrow Timer 120V, Bet-1

My last timer died in February, so I replace it with this one, and I like this one better than it's predecessor. It has a 12 hour and 18 hour cycle - you can't set it for just any time period, but those time cycles work fine for me. Two outlets are twice what I had on my previous timer, and setting it is easier than the last one. Since late February it has helped germinate lots of flats of delphinium, foxglove, and peppers in my basement.

Awesome grow light timer for the indoor gardener. It is so EASY to use, and has a self recharging battery backup. I bought one and used it for a couple months and now I just bought another one for my expansion tent. Cons: Only drawback to this unit is the bulky size, it takes a bit too much room on a surge protector strip, IMO. Although it is nice to have a large LCD readout. Besides making it more compact, I would love to see individual outlet controls a.k.a. a dual timer model that controls each outlet on separate schedules.

So... I have tried literally 5 timers in the past month. This has been a frustrating journey to finding the right one. This is the best unit without a doubt. The other ones are either hard to program, unreliable, or just don't work. This one is so easy to setup and has been really reliable.

I love this, works perfect, has 2 settings, grow and bloom, very easy to set the time and all, pretty self explanatory. comes on perfectly at designated hours and goes off when it should all automatically.

Good timer made For Dummies. I'm a dummy. It works well for me. Really hard to get it wrong just at the time that the time you want the lights to go on and press either bloom or grow. Grow will give you 18/6 bloom will give you 12/12.

This has been one of the easiest grow timers I have ever used. It has two timer options: vegetative and flowering. The veg option does an automatic 18 hours of lights on from the time you set and 6 hours off. The flowering option does an automatic 12 hours on and 12 hours off. The big downside to this timer is it has no alternative timing options (such as 20 hours on, 4 hours off). That didn't bother me though because I normally do 18 on 6 off anyway. Plus that's what this light was designed for. Ease of use.

My Blueprint timer just caught on fire. I have purchased 4 of these about 8 months ago. They have always kept time and cycle correct... until tonight when one started to smoke. The back of the unit just above the plug melted and started a fire. Luckily I was in the room, smelt the plastic burning and found the source fast because of the smoke. My old house probablyrics would have burnt down. I'm under the max amperage. Breaker was not hot. Unit just malfunctioned and could have ended much worse.

So far so good. Ease of use is great. Nothing happened at first, u need to hit the reset button at first. Makes sense. Wish I could customize the hours a little bit but then again I ordered it because the hours are preset and Tim-proof. Rated 4 of 5 because I haven't owned it long enough to experience any problems yet.
