To anyone who has cats that like to scratch the carpet this is your life-saver. My carpet, that I thought I would need to replace, has been brought back from the brink - it looks so much better.

I recently purchased 2 Mohawk area rugs and pads. I originally trimmed the pads with a pair of regular 7" scissors. It was tedious but worked. After the pad and rug settled (about a week) the pad needed trimming again and the regular scissors failed miserably, incapable of trimming the 1/2" needed without the pad folding under the blades. Saw this pair and am not disappointed. A sturdy, heavy-duty pair of scissors that cuts a clean, straight border. Even trims small irregularities left by the regular household scissors. Originally, I was thinking it's too much to spend for what would likely be one-time use. After spending hundreds of dollars on 2 quality rugs and pads, paying $30 for a quality pair of scissors to keep the borders "clean" turned out to be a good investment. I suspect these scissors will also come in handy for future use. Great addition to the toolbox.

shears stay sharper than other brands for carpet

Very pleased with these, they are comfortablet to use and sharp. Ragdoll kittens are now two with sturdy enough scratching posts. So, now time to repair the carpets. This napping tool combined with a lint remover have done a great job in returning carpert to almost new condition (which they were before deciding to get kitties). Ideally, I would have bought different carpet that doesn't pull as much, but, these scissors have made a huge improvement on the look. Very happy.

These work well if you use your right hand to cut. Fortunately I do and they are sharp and do a very nice job with intricate cuts. It’s time consuming to do and entire 8x10 rug but well worth the results.
