Being 11 1/16 inches at its widest point, it fits easily in a small camp oven and even in a large dutch oven for its intended use while camping. While it is considered "pre-seasoned", I still treated it using the Camp Chef cast-iron conditioner (CSC-8) that does not go rancid quickly like lard or Crisco, then put it through two heat cycles prior to its first use.
