What is the difference between jbl control C2PS and jbl control 1 pro ?

JBL Control One is what is called “passive”, no powered, just a plain speaker. JBL control 2P is “active” (powered). Put as simple: with the first you need an amplifier, while with the 2P you just plug in it the music coming from your device and enjoy the music. Definitely the 2P is more complete speaker than the One. Hope it helps.

Is there a 1/8" direct input that I can plug into my mac pro?

No, there is no 1/8" input, however cables are readily available that connect the 1/8" out from a laptop/tablet/phone to RCA inputs on the master speaker.
