I'm writing this review both to comment on the product and to provide some details the Amazon product questions and answers section is too limited to allow. Overall this cable is fine for use where its CMP rating is required, but it's both roughly 30% more expensive and more difficult to work with than CMR cable from the same vendor. The difficulty in using it stems from the fact that the material used in the individual conductor strands does not allow for good coloration, especially the solid orange and solid brown wires. (see photo) In fact I originally thought the cable I received was bad and that those strands had no insulation on them at all. Apparently the insulation material used is needed in order to meet the low-smoke and low toxicity level required by the CMP rating. I did notice that it was a little easier to tell the brown-white from the orange-white wires, so a workaround I've been using is to cut the brown/brown-white pair about 12mm (1/2") shorter than the orange/orange-white pair, making it easier to distinguish the between those pairs during the punch-down or pass-through plug termination process. Other than the insulation coloration issue, this cable is easy enough to work with. It comes out of the carton smoothly and the remaining-length and rating markings are easy to read. I can't really comment on the long-life durability, as I've just installed the cable for the first time. Check back with me in 20 years or so. However, for the short term, I had no issues with the jacket abrading or splitting or the conductors breaking unexpectedly during the installation process. As stated, when I first stripped the outer jacket off the end of this cable, I thought it was defective and posted an inquiry about the "bare" wires in the Amazon product questions section. Unfortunately there is a fairly short character limit when typing in the question, and no way at all to respond to questions that were asked as part of the responses to my question, or even a way to post a follow-up "answer" to my own question. So I apologize to the TrueCable and other responders for not being able to provide clarification or a correction to my inquiry. It wasn't until after I read some replies that indicated that insulation might be fooling me that I decided to get my multi-meter out and prove that the "bare" wires could be shorted together. Much to my surprise, I found they could NOT be shorted, and that there was, in fact, a layer of near invisible insulation on the conductors!
