But the introduction describing the political situation in Japan says that Nobunaga became Shogun in 1573. Which is obviously false as he never became Shogun. He marched on Kyoto and seized power by installing the then Shogun's brother as Shogun. In 1573 he dissolved the Shogunate but did not create a new one with him as Shogun. I don't understand why the book says this. If they didn't want to bother the reader with political details they could just have said that "he seized power". The way they wrote it makes me think some really sloppy research was done. The whole thing makes me distrustful that the book is authentically and accurately translated.

I have read this book many years ago and for the price, I bought it again. The book has a lovely cover and is well illustrated throughout. Ideal for someone interested in Japanese culture as a present.

THIS IS A GREAT BOOK - IT TEACHES YOU TO UNDERSTAND YOUR OPPOONENT AS BEST AS POSSIBLE ... THE STORIES ARE ALL WINNING STRAEGIES AND IF YOU TAKE TIME TO READ AND UNDERSTAND, YOU WILL FIND IT VERY BENEFIICIAL IN YOUR LIFE AND DEALING WITH PEOPLE IN GENERAL.
