Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360 Degrees 2K White, 2021 Version

This camera is of excellent quality. I’ve bought similar cameras for 70-80 AED before, but they were of very poor quality, with echo issues when the speakers are on, and they would go to sleep after a while. This camera, however, is perfect for monitoring a sleeping or playing child. Highly recommend it!

Value for money and does the job, great clear picture and easy install, app is intuitive but maybe could improve algorithm for person detection as get a few to many false alerts if people walk past the house or cars drive by. Maybe by giving ability to define area you want an alert to be given on the app

The quality is good. We use the 2K setting and the video quality is indeed great. Mic is clear too whenever someone talks on the other side. The only thing we hate is the SD card error. Sometimes it says it’s been unmounted or needs formatting or cannot be read. But we’re not even touching it. It’s placed securely in the ceiling. I read in a forum somewhere that it’s Xiaomi’s doing for them to get you to subscribe to their cloud storage services if the SD cards you put in are always ‘faulty’.

Just need type-c. I m using it since long time & ordered many times. But still after so many years there is no upgrade in hardware. It still uses micro usb charging port. It needs a type-c port & internal battery as a back up. Also it still uses WiFi 2.4 Ghz. It needs to be upgraded to Wi-Fi 5.1 Ghz.

This is the second mi camera that I have purchased in 2 years. The first mi camera was a little difficult to set up, having to change the region to China instead of UAE. However, mi has made a lot of improvement since, I no longer use the Chinese version of mi home app, and setting up the second mi was so easy it took me less than a minute from unboxing to having the camera up and running. The mi camera that I have received identities as Mi Smart Camera C300, I can now spy on my cats while I am on vacation. What I love the most about having two cameras is that I get to simultaneously view both cameras (although they cannot be controlled simultaneously). I highly recommend this camera to every nosy cat enthusiasts out there.

Initially i found it fantastic, however, a year has passed and I bought 3 to cover location on 2 different countries and 3 different cities. 1st Location: While updating the software the camera automatically disconnects. It sometimes stops and starts after a few hours. Internet connection is the same for a year. 2nd Location: I am trying to pair the device again as we installed a new router and it just wont. Tried all troubleshooting and surrendered and finally again the camera on its own starts working after couple of hours. 3rd Location: While connecting device at this location is not a problem, it automatically disconnects after pairing after a few hours. So would not recommend this product !
