Solid material - use better screws when mounting
I mounted my lightboxes on the ceiling - that way they swing down, are extendable to move closer to the wall or the object you are filming as well as having the option to swing sideways. In the middle of the room they are super versatile. They seem to be well built, but the screws that come with it, aren't any good. I suggest to use proper Fisher studs and screws.
