The Only Filter I Trust for My Ford & Lincoln – Perfect OEM Fit
When it comes to my 2017 Ford Taurus and my Lincoln Navigator, I don't take risks with aftermarket oil filters. The Motorcraft FL-500-S is the factory-spec part for a reason, and at this price point, there’s no reason to buy anything else. Fit & Build Quality: The threads are always clean and the gasket comes pre-lubricated enough that it seats perfectly with just hand-tightening. I’ve never had a "dry start" issue with these, which tells me the anti-drainback valve is doing its job correctly. In my Navigator, where the filter location can be a bit of a reach, having the textured grip on the end of the canister makes removal and install much easier. Performance: OEM Reliability: These are designed specifically for the flow rates of the 3.5L/3.7L engines. I’ve cut these open after a 5,000-mile interval, and the pleats are always straight and the bypass valve is still firm. Peace of Mind: Using the Motorcraft part keeps everything within warranty specs and gives you the confidence that the filtration media is actually catching the microscopic grit that wears down your engine. Pros: Direct OEM Replacement: No guessing on fitment for Ford/Lincoln platforms. Silicon Anti-Drainback Valve: Superior to the rubber ones found in cheap generic filters. Damaged box but item was great
Perfect match but the box was damaged pretty good. I wiped the inside of the filter out with a paper towel just in case and didn't find anything so I'm guessing this was during handling putting my order together.
