Crescent Wiss 10" Bent Handle Industrial Shears - W20

I have had a pair for more than 40 years and was time for an upgrade. These are heavy duty and very sharp. Can easily cut through delicate materials and multiple thicknesses of leather. I have used them to cut cardboard and aluminum sheets and other materials that they weren't intended for. These are about a large as you need, any larger and they become difficult to handle unless you have very large hands and arm strength to operate.

Great scissors, I upholster, these cut great. They are heavy but I've yet to find a lightweight pair of scissors that keep their edge. Would 💯 recommend

I LOVE this pair of scissors. Nothing like the feel and weight of quality. I could defend myself from a home invader with these. So sharp. Cuts everything. Stop buying cheap plastic-handled scissors and step up to real deal.

Costing not much more than two pairs of "shop scissors" at my local big box store, these Wiss shears actually have an adjustment screw holding them together, and are made of heavy enough steel that they could be sharpened, should that become necessary. The pair from my big box store appeared to have a screw, but it actually did not, and they were made from inferior material. In retrospect, don't try to save a couple of dollars buying cheap scissors. If you need heavy duty, buy these. They're up to the job, and they'll last you much longer.

These are super-big utility scissors, and they work great! I got tired of buying cheap scissors only to have the handle crack and fall off, or the blades be so wimpy they'd deflect when cutting thick paper. These scissors don't have those problems. One negative is the finish they've put on the handles. It appears the scissors are dipped (?) in something, and not only are there dried drips and lumps in the finish, but rather sharp edges. This isn't such a huge issue though, since a lot of this stuff fell off - along with the finish. Not a big enough detractor to return them or recommend against purchase, but I think for the price, the finish could be better.

I am way behind on reviews for all I've purchased over the years from Amazon. I just got a request to review this product and these are so good I had to stop and put in my 2 bits as my dad used to say. I saw the great reviews and always meant to get a good pair of scissors for the shop. Bargain scissors aren't worth having when put to the litmus test as my mom used to say. I've used them for cutting leather, rubber sheeting and it still clips the thin plastic bags that small parts come in. I don't think thin sheet metal would be a problem. You'll notice first thing how much they weigh. They have a quality feel, comfortable to size large hands and glide smoothly as they cut. I believe this is the type of scissor that they use in murder mysteries because I was never afraid of regular scissors. Liked them so much I ordered a second pair for the kitchen the next day.

Sturdy, heavy, powerful. Finally a pair of scissors that can cut through those stupid blister packs and still cut paper. I can cut a beer can in half (yes, don't even ask me why) and these scissors will still cut paper perfectly, even at the end of the blades (where most other scissors will fail after a while). We beat the . . . well, you know . . . out of these scissors and they are still as sharp as when we bought them last year. I really think we'll be handing these scissors down to our kids (unless they end up in a slasher movie. Yes - they look just like the ones in Psycho!). :-)

Normally buy the Mondial version of these scissors, never seen Wiss version before. I use them every day for cutting upholstery fabric, leather, and cardboard. They were cheaper than the Mondials, they’ve been dropped and knocked about, the nut is still tight, the points still cut and I haven’t had to sharpen them yet. Been a really good pair of scissors.
