Very high quality product. Love it!
This is my second lens cover and by far my favorite. The materials are fantastic and the fit and design is very high quality. It’s easy to access all the function buttons and and has been a very nice addition for rugged wildlife photography.

Outstanding Lens Protection
Much better than Lenscoat or other offerings. The ends of each piece are seamed and sewn, so no fraying. Nice snug fit. Easy to install even though the instructions are in Chinese. All of the pieces are numbered and the pictures are self explanatory. I'm guessing people who are giving this 1 star because of the fit didn't bother to use the cellophane piece included for sliding the segments into place. Pricey, but worth it. I also have one of these on a Canon EF 400mm F4

Good but not perfect
This cover was very hard to put on - my fingers / hands ached the rest of the day. The instructions are in Chinese so if there were any tips about getting the separate parts onto the camera, I couldn't read them, had to just rely on pics for which piece went where. Make sure you put the piece with the cutout for reading focal length on the right way the first time (oops). I was disappointed that the piece that goes over the extended zoom is velcro-closure and doesn't let the lens retract. I couldn't tell from the photos that it forces the lens to be fully extended (at 500 mm) when on. I have it on but attached a bit loosely so I can at least retract the lens partway - it kinda defeats the purpose of having a zoom if you have to stay at 500mm all the time. Overall though, it does fit well (and very snugly), the controls all work well (control ring, focus ring, zoom), the little hatch on the hood is accessible, and I am less worried about getting sunscreen / dirt / whatever all over the light-colored lens. Maybe the birds won't be as scared of it either.

Excellent product requiring some patience to install.
I purchased this after I purchased the same item for a different Canon RF 200-800mm lens. This one was somewhat more difficult to install. This lens fitment requires you to use an included sheet of cellophane to install one section. I found it a bit difficult. I ended up using a dull-edged butter knife to help me slowly wedge that particular piece in place. Once all the pieces were installed (about a one hour job), I was once again delighted with the finished installation fit and product quality. By the way, the product description says it's a dark brown pattern. Thankfully, It isn't (as I suspected). It's actually a dark grey and black pattern, the same as it is on my previously purchased 200-800mm Rolanpro lens cover.

Looks good, fits great!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose the Rolanpro lens cover for its looks and the durability of the material. I looked at the self adhesive "skins" but didn't feel they would last. Fit: The lens cover fits my Canon 100-500 lens perfectly. all the cut-outs are precision cut and stitched for reinforcement. It probably took a good half hour to install as there were a total of eight pieces and fit tightly. I chose the dark brown, which was actually black and gray just as pictured on-line. I chose this because, #1 I liked the look of it on my camera... #2 Protects the lens... #3 so the birds don't see me, hahaha.

Not Perfect Fit, Canon rf 100-500mm
First if all, installation instructions needs to be in English and not in Asian, it would be helpful to understand directions. I was able to attach most of the pieces, but ended up with 3 or 4 extra pieces that I didn't install. I think some remaining pieces covers lens control rings, English instructions would have been helpful. One of the piece to cover inside of telescoping zoom definitely don't work, bulkyness hindered its function, so I couldn't use it.

Should have gotten one sooner!
I've always used LensCoat brand, but have been disappointed with the quality, especially considering the price. The fabric that they adhere to the neoprene frays, and the frayed edges one one piece would get tangled in the adjacent piece, making it very difficult to adjust movable parts. While the LensCoat people are great, even the replacement pieces they sent me ended up doing the same thing. To say that was frustrating is an understatement. Enter Rolanpro. This thing fits like a glove. The edges of each piece are sewn, so I don't anticipate any fraying issues. The window for the AF buttons is a cutout, which I much prefer over the plastic window of the LensCoat (not so easy changing settings through that plastic). I also like that there are cutouts for the release button and filter window on the lens hood. I've seen several reviews where people have had issues with ease (or lack thereof) of installation. Lens covers are supposed to be tight, and I think, honestly, that I had a harder time getting the LensCoat on. I had seen a helpful hint somewhere where the person used a pair of pliers with plastic jaws to help pull pieces of the lens cover on, so I ordered a cheap one of those when I ordered the lens cover. Worked like a charm. I haven't had it long enough to speak of its durability, but so far I am impressed with the quality, and think it will outlast my LensCoat by a mile. Given that they're around the same price point, it's a no brainer.

DON'T BUY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE COMPLETELY FRUSTRATED!
I came so close to returning this piece of crap. The instructions are in Chinese, so you have to rely on the numbers on the instructions (some of the pieces are numbered as well). The instructions have your put the pieces on in a very backwards way and it makes it VERY DIFFICULT if nearly impossible to put on. It was a STRUGGLE and very frustrating!! I would not recommend this product and would never purchase again.

Item received as described, of very good quality. The cover consists 8 pieces of which the no. 2 needs to be applied only when the zoom extends fully to 500, while other pieces (1, and 3 to 8) are fitted tightly on to the lens perfectly. Very precise. Money well spent to protest the lens. Note: IT is NOT a rain coat since it consists of 8 separate pieces and there are no connections in between them, I took the “waterproof” statement as partial correct.
