What I will say is this, I have all JR servo's in my planes. I have no problems binding them with Spektrum receivers. I use 2 different receivers for 3 planes and use JR servo's in all three. I think if you are using a JR transmitter and trying to bind with a Spektrum receiver, I don't think that will work. I'm using it alongside an APM 2.5 from 3DRobotics, and it performs extremely well. I have flown it far over 600 feet away and have had no issues. I've gotten to the point where I can barely see my copter in the sky and it maintains reception. Easley surpassed the minimum range test, and I found brownout recovery very fast at less than one second. Was packaged in the standard Spectrum packaging with all instructions and bind plug included (see pics). Works well in my 60" EF 540T and with my DX8 transmitter. I believe this is the real deal and not a knock off.
