Would like to place end of probe between to aluminum plates** A: Yes they can. **Q: How long are the probes?** A: The probe leads are just over 40” k type thermistors. For the money this is a good tool to have. For any Critical temperature measurements I use the copper brand **Q: Does this thermometer have a user calibration option? Does it have cold junction compensation?** A: Not that I know of.
