WORKS TO KEEP THE BAD PREDATORS AWAY
Through the years, we had had 4 predator kills of our sheep flock. Once it was even a fancy, rented ram that was killed by a cougar! Anyway, now, we have 4 of these fox lights surrounding our pasture, to protect our lambs and ewes. Ever since we installed them, no kills. They hang neatly on the outside of the pasture fence, about 100' apart. They flash at sporadic, intermittent intervals, every color of the rainbow - blue, red, purple, yellow, green, orange. It freaks the predators out, because they don't know what it is. Also, they're durable, and hang out there year-round in all weather. Of course, we have to replace the battery a couple times a year - easy to do. We highly recommend these fox-lights.

Very effective. Follow directions and you won't go wrong. Plan to buy 3 more.

Works for me!
I'm giving this 5 stats because we've used it for a few months now and we've had no issues with predators around our chickens. My only problem was the solar battery holding a charge...it started going deaf at about the 4 month mark. I could charge it, and it worked again, but would occasionally stop. It's on full light. The seller was GREAT about replacing under the warranty, so now I have a replacement. Seems to work well, so I'm glad to have a consistently working light again! Not thrilled to have a product issue, but the merchant customer service was so good, it was hardly a bother in the end.

Foxlight's Not Waterproof
Despite having rubber gaskets on both the top and bottom of my Foxlight to prevent moisture from getting in, moisture condensed inside of it this past summer when we had high humidity. This caused the circuit board in the light to corrode and stop working. When I contacted the company about this, they said this wasn't covered by their warranty. The fact that they say this isn't covered by their warranty indicates they know this is a recurring problem for this light they've had complaints about numerous times before. Unless you live in a desert, I'd avoid this product.

Effective in reducing coyotes approaching my backyard area
This Fox light is the best deterrent to nightly coyote visits to the back area of my house. I live in a housing neighborhood backed by a flood channel and an open desert area. We used to get coyotes every other night looking to approach our 5 foot block wall. I have 2 German Shepherds that bark when they sense the coyotes. I can turn on the backyard lights to scare-off the coyotes when I’m home. But some weekend—nights I can not be home to scare- off the coyotes when they approach toward my backyard and dogs. There are so many Neighbor stories of coyotes killing and eating household dogs —- some as big as German Shepherds if the coyote pack is 3 or more. I could not take the chance of a coyote pack being extra aggressive or hungry on a given night and I would not be home to help my dogs by providing human resistance to the coyotes. Coyotes act bolder when they determine that resistance to their attack will not be a major problem for their number. Since I put up the 2 flashing Fox lights on my backyard wall at each end the Coyote visits at night by the flood channel in back of my house have been reduced dramatically— my 2 dogs no longer go crazy every other nite barking at coyotes passing by or checking out the area directly in back of my house. I bought the other “cat-eye” type of night lite but returned them as they can not compare to the impression and effectiveness of the Foxlight. The Foxlights were easy for me to zip tie to “screw-eyes” I drilled in to my slumpstone wall. The Foxlights are made of heavy duty material that can withstand all-day sun. They come on timely at sunset and the 6 volt battery ( which I now get at Lowes) last for months and months. Fantastic purchase for someone in my similar situation rightfully concerned about coyote-pack nightly visits.

EXCELLENT predator deterrent!
I’ve been using Fox lights for 9 years, and I have never had a single loss to my sheep flock from predators during this time. Had several before I installed them. They are amazing, and I am a huge fan! Much better results than LGDs. WARNING: DO NOT BUY CHEAPER COMPETITORS - NONE of them work!

seems to work
first off there is no motion detection at all. it just randomly fires at random intervals. it also fills with water pretty easily so i'll drilled a few drainage holes in it. it does seem to work though. all late night critter shenanigans have been kept to the opposite side of the roof from where this is mounted so i'll be buying another. i have it mounted in a shady area, so after a month i brought it in to top off with a usb charging that didn't take long at all. this leads me the believe the solar cells work incredibly well and i broke out the ladder for nothing. we'll see how it does come winter when it's covered in snow.

Yes it works
I’ve had mine for a year or more and came here just to write a review all these years later. Coyotes used to come to the pasture in front of my house and yip and yelp and howl on a regular basis and after recording them for years I found this Fox Light and while it hasn’t been reduced to zero it happens so infrequently I can’t believe it. I live in the country and have been here since 2004 and in 20+ yrs the last few have been the least coyote activity. I also think it thieves respond to this as well. The blue/red/white light sequence that randomly plays likely makes people uncomfortable. You can easily see this at night 100’s of yards away clear as day. The leds are bright and random. It works.
