Worked well for BIOS recovery
I used this to recover a bricked motherboard BIOS on an older MSI laptop, and it worked great. I did the 3 volt mod for my setup to reduce the risk of failure, and after that I was able to read and reflash the chip successfully. Good tool to have if you are working on BIOS recovery and know what you are doing.

This saved my motherboard!
Thinking of throwing your broken motherboard? Try this cheap gamble first. If it works its going to save you lots of money! After force shutting down my computer it would not boot or post. After troubleshooting I isolated the problem to be either the mobo or the cpu. I tried replacing the cmos, unplugging and plugging again. Nothing. So before buying a new mobo and/or cpu I tried this first instead. I reflashed the mobo, and bam! Computer boots. Worth every cent!
