Once a good fit inside the ear is achieved I was rewarded with bright highs, punchy deep bass and a lively overall sound, for just a few dollars each! These headphones are slightly biased towards bass. They compare well to my earbuds costing around $40 but are not in the $100 quality range. Another thing to note is that they are easily driven, meaning that you will get good volume from them without having to use an amp. My iPod, iPhone, iPad and computer all easily power these earbuds for a great sound with plenty of volume.As always with earbuds, it's vitally important to have a perfect fit in the ear to get 100% of the sound, especially to get the full effect of the bass. Use whatever type and size of earbud-tip that seals best for you. I personally use memory foam type earbud tips, which seal and conform to my ear canal, are comfortable for extended use and help block out exterior noise better than silicone tips. These earbud headphones have a 4.5mm diameter tip, so I use these:  Bluecell Large Medium Small Size Memory Foam Tips Eartips for most earbuds / in-ear earphones .
