Best investment ever. Ive cut wood for heat for 40 years plus. Im my age my arthritis in my hands prevent me fro pulling a big gas saw to start. This saw is slower than gas, but effective. Im slower in my age anyway. IT has reasonable good tourque. It has self sharpener, I have cut 4 cord on the same chain with only to sharpening by pushing the button. It is quiet enough to use with out hearing protection It stop running when you set it down . Just pull the trigger to start. At the price I could wear it out and buy 4 more instead of another gas saw . It is a homeowner saw. Ive owed it for 5 years. it still works and I use it every year to process my wood for burning. I still have a gas saw for tree trunks. but this saw will work for anything as long as you are patient and dont force it beyond its limited capabilities, Slow and steady wins the race.ALSO I had an issue with the sharpening stone coming off and Oregon actual had a live American answer the phone and send me a new part, Great Service. Ive recommended this saw to 2 friends and they are also pleased. Go look at videos. No dissapointments,

I'm now a couple years into using this chainsaw and have taken down more than a dozen ash trees with an average base cut of 17". It's done well. At times you can feel the load on it but it keeps cutting. Just went through a 24" cut on the trunk of an ash and it made it through working my way all the way around the trunk. Lightweight, uses the chain lube at the right rate, sharpens in seconds. The only downside is keeping the cord behind you. The upside is it starts every time, unlike a gas chainsaw, and you can stop it and put it down between cuts to move what you just cut or clear an area to get to another cut. Safe for your average homeowner and can save $$$ on cleaning up downed branches doing it yourself rather than calling in a tree service.

Purchased the Oregon CS1500 18” chainsaw and my husband used it to cut down and cut up a 12” diameter x 30 ft. tall hard maple tree. Saw was very powerful and made quick work of the maple tree. Followed instructions on priming the self oiler and I was cutting down the tree 15 minutes after opening the box. Love the safety features and the medium weight of the saw is not cumbersome and helpful in sawing up the downed branches. Had an older Poulan electric saw and this saw is noticeably higher quality with much better performance. Highly recommend.

Got this for a gift and he loved it! No tools needed or gas noise or sore shoulder from pull start! Great for home will cut full size trees. Use a good power outlet free from other appliances so you don’t pop a fuse!

Chain sharpener wears out quickly. Good for yard work but better to swap with regular chain for better cutting.

Very nice flashlight. My other electric chainsaw died so I got this one I like everything about it. Easy to sharpen the chain. I would buy it again.

Preformed as advertised. Exceptional effectiveness. Love the self sharpening. Great time saver. The only draw back is the cord. But I knew that going in. Would definitely give it a worthy purchase.
