I live in Houston TX, and the summer heat is ridiculous. On a sunny day in late April, my attic would reach 110 degrees. In June, 140 degrees is what I'd see on a sunny day in June. Since I installed this vent fan, my attic is at least 15 to 20 degrees cooler. My attic has two opposing gable vents, no soffet vents, no ridge vents and no other active cooling. It was ridiculous. Installation was pretty straightforward. After installation, I lighted a match and blew it out to observe the smoke. From 3 feet away from this fan, you could see that it was pulling a lot of air. The fan comes with a temperature switch so it turns on at whatever temperature you set. I have mine set to 95 degrees. I can hear it from outside standing under it, but inside my home, you have no idea it's running because you can't hear it. It does have a slight rattle to it, again that you can hear outside from below. It's almost enough for me to drop it to 4 stars, but not quite. So it squeaks by to make 5 stars.

Replaced a failed gable fan in attic. Installation fairly straight forward. Fan is directly above a bedroom and fan noise cannot be heard in the bedroom. So, quiet enough for my purposes. Wired to a grounded plug. Thermostat seems to function well. Attic much cooler once again.

Pretty easy to install. I used romex 12-2-2 and attach one end to a 3-pronged male head, because I had an outlet in the attic. So far, it's kept my house much cooler than before. Prior to this fan, the house would hit 100 f in the summer. Now, 88 f is the highest I've seen our thermostat reach. I have it attached to my roof with the exhaust pointing out of a vent. The sound is relatively quiet, like a box fan. The amount of air it moves is pretty good for its size. It seems pretty well made. I had no issues with warping of the housing like one reviewer had.

I bought and installed this fan over two years ago to help vent my garage during Arizona's hot summers. I set it to turn on automatically at 100°F, and it's probably accumulated about a year's worth of actual runtime. Throughout that time, it has operated flawlessly without a single issue. I'm very happy with its reliability and performance.

this is a really great fan 2.85 amps is about .4 HP powerfull smooth and quiet I just installed it so I cannot say for durability I bypassed the thermostat control so IDK about that

Bought 2 and installed in the attic. 30 days after install one fan was running 24/7. I went to inspect and the thermostat control board was fried. The fan overheated and slung oil from the motor. I turned the fan off and the motor was too hot to touch. After some searching online it stated thes are common to have issues and the motor issue could cause a fire. I called the manufacturer and they advised no refund would be offered just a replacement. I should have bought a better fan and had peace of mind. Avoid!

Exceeding expectations, this fan boasts a sturdy design with minimal vibration, making it easy to assemble and install. The temperature relay is strategically placed within the airflow, ensuring precise temperature detection. Upon installation, I added rubber pads, and it has been quiet from the start. While the motor isn’t greaseable without disassembly, this is acceptable. One improvement I’d suggest is including a motor speed regulator as standard equipment—I implemented this as a separate unit myself. Update: for a small/low attic space in your house get something less powerful - you don't want to run a jet engine on your bike. My 3000ft3 (volume) attic is way too small for this fan.

Read lots of reviews on this product before buying it. Lots said it was noisy. I purchased the rubber washers and put them on each side of the screws that were touching either metal or wood and it’s quiet. Don’t put it on plywood like they suggest. That’s a horrible idea. Screw it into a 2x4’s then screw those into the 2x4’s on the wall inside your attic so it pushes the heat out. Worked great for me. Wish I had pictures but it was 120 degrees in my attic when I installed mine.

Product was a replacement, so far satisfied but it took a month or more to get it delivered in spite of Amazon prime.

Good air movement. Not what I needed for my attic but ended up using it in the basement so all is good. Do wish it had some kind of safety guards, grill?

This is a great fan to use in your house or garage attic to help keep your house cooler. Get rid of that HOT air from you attic so it won't go through the ceiling and heat your house.
