If I will hardwire it to a fuse tap, what's the fuse amp to add?

The wires that come with it have an inline 10 amp fuse

What size bit do i drill hole

My boat already had the hole ready for it. But it looks like a 7/8" or 15/16" hole should work.

Charger not working after trying all of your troubleshooting. when i press the on switch, the blue led lights for a split second and then goes off?

Have you checked for the correct polarity and checked the voltage from your battery or accessory wire as well with a multimeter, it should be around 12 to 13 volts? Pull and check the inline 10 amp fuse for continuity with a multimeter to eliminate the possibility of a bad fuse. I would then temporarily wire it with different short wire leads to a 12 volt battery to see if it works. If it doesn't I'd assume the board is bad in the unit, if it works fine then you may have a wiring issue somewhere, bad spot in the wiring or a loose connection. First and foremost make sure red positive + goes to the + on the unit, and the black negative - goes to the - on the unit. You cannot have the polarity reversed.
