My new favorite headphones.
The day I got these, I hooked them up to my IEMs and connected them to my phone, planning to listen to music for a few minutes and get a sense of how they sounded. I ended up keeping them in for almost two hours, going through my whole music library, discovering new details and clarity in so many old songs. It's not that these adapters sounded as good as my IEMs when attached to their cable, it's that they actually sounded better, thanks to the built-in amp. I'm very new to audiophile stuff, so I'm probably not the most objective opinion, but I genuinely feel like I never properly heard music before getting these. I've had zero problems with them. They connected easily, they're reasonably comfortable, the button controls work well and there have been no drop-outs at all. No, they're not as fast or seamless as AirPods, and the case is absolutely huge, but you are making some concessions in order to use your own IEMs as true wireless earbuds. These are way more convenient and reliable than the Bluetooth cable I was using previously, and I can wait 5 more seconds for them to connect if it means getting this kind of sound quality. No latency issues so far, but keep in mind I'm not using these for professional work, just watching videos. Video and audio always stay in sync, no issues there. Battery life is actually amazing, and not just because of that giant case. I've worn these for hours and barely seen the battery meter on my phone budge. Lasting through the day is not a problem. Bluetooth static ranges from "none" to "barely noticeable" and really doesn't detract from the experience. I am using KZ IEMs and an iPhone. From what I can tell, I think that a lot of the people in the reviews who have had major issues are on Android, so that's something to keep in mind if you're an Android user. Can't vouch for Android functionality as I don't have a phone laying around to test. Also, just know what you are buying. These weren't designed to be the most long-lasting or stable Bluetooth solution, they're meant to pair convenience with great audio quality, and I think that they do it very well. Again, I'm not really an audiophile, just someone looking to get more out of my music and testing out devices to help with that. These were worth every penny. I was listening to music asleep my whole life, and these woke me up.

Good Bluetooth adapter with ok DAC, crap app & dismal call quality
Pros: My Shure 425s sound really nice and full with these—much better in fact than my Shure Bluetooth adapter v1. It’s more powerful and better balanced. The on ear controls are ok. They are comfortable to wear, even with custom ear molds which made the Shure adapters stick out and fit poorly. The molds now seat firmly making these super comfortable even on long international flights. CONS: The mics give folks on the other end of calls a subpar experience. Every call I’ve taken with these has them telling me they can barely hear me or that I’m unintelligible, forcing me to dig out the phone and switch to phone audio. Boo. I don’t love having independent volume control on both my phone and the adapters. The adapter volume adjusts the DAC volume, but not the volume on the phone, and the phone volume only affects the phone output, not the adapter volume. Finding a sweet spot of signal and adapter volume that gives me nuanced sound, easy adjustability, and good battery life has been weird. Maybe all this adjustability has tangible utility, but for me it’s like having two independent dimmers on one light fixture… ultimately it’s confusing and unnecessary. And the app is crap. The app is the only way to access their equalizer, and it only has three CRAP presets. I mean, these presets sound horrible and are in no way optimized for the indicated genres (pop, rock, vocal) which all sound like they’re underwater. PLUS the individual sliders ARE NOT INDIVIDUALLY ADJUSTABLE. Everything in the app UI and the scant documentation indicates you should be able to move the sliders, but reader… that is NOT the case. Why even have an app? Also, it’s finicky to connect the adapter to the app, and there is no clear path to update firmware, which SHOULD be an app feature but alas is not. If it seems like there are a lot of downers here, I just wanted a reasonable priced comfort and sonic upgrade to the Shure v1 adapter, and these do that, so four stars for that . But if you want features like clear calls, equalizer, or an app that works as intended, well… perhaps the newer Fiio adapter addresses these deficiencies, or there are other options.

Perfect pairing with ikko OH10
I'm using the UTWS3 with a pair of ikko OH10s and it works perfectly. Sound quality is great, in fact I think it even sounds a bit better than plugging my OH10s directly into my phone's headphone jack. Wireless range is great, battery life is great, and the case supports USB-C. Comfort is... good enough, not as good as the stock cable on my OH10s, but good enough. My ears only start to hurt a bit after hours of use. I may need to adjust the ear hooks further. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on what IEMs you are using. If you're worried about weight, the OH10s are very heavy IEMs and I can still wear them perfectly with the UTWS3. My ONE complaint with this device so far is that it does not support Absolute Bluetooth Volume. This means that the volume control on the UTWS3 is separate from the media volume on your phone, which I find annoying because you must set them both individually. With Absolute Bluetooth Volume, you can use the volume buttons on the bluetooth device to control your phone's media volume. The UTWS3 unfortunately does not do that. However, that's a minor complaint, and some people prefer it this way anyway. I guess some IEMs have recessed 2-pin connections, and for those, the UTWS3 won't work well, because the 2-pin connectors on the ear hooks are flush with the housing. Another reviewer pointed this out as a design flaw. Just know that if your IEMs require the 2-pin connector to plug into a deeper socket, the UTWS3 won't work for you.

Does not make sense for most people
Turning your favorite IEMs into TWS sounds awesome, but I don't think the UTWS3 fulfills that desire. First of all, the case is HUGE. It's going to be hard to put this into your pocket and if you can pocket it, there's room for nothing else. Getting a Bluetooth DAC and short MMCX cable is much more portable than this. The Bluetooth connection seems to be OK, but pairing is a bit weird. When you're trying to pair this up with your device, you'll see both the left and right side as separate devices. You only need to pair one side which will make it the master, the other side becomes the slave. There is no multipoint Bluetooth unlike the BTR series from FiiO which is a huge letdown. When it comes to sound, they sound pretty good. There is no aptX HD which isn't the end of the world, but at this price I would have expected support for higher fidelity codecs. Functionality leaves a bit to desire. The controls are just weird, but you probably could get used to them. Pausing and resuming have separate triggers whereas most TWS has the same action to toggle playback. Volume control is nice, but it doesn't control your device's volume. Overall, the UTWS3 makes way too many compromises. It's clunky so not really portable, it lacks the nice bells and whistles many TWS have, and it's pricey. If they can shrink down the case, it might be easier to justify, but as is it's not worth it.

QC Issues. Left earhook has many problems.
When they work, they work well. Unfortunately, there appears to be quality control issues. Left earhook will intermittently have horrible sound quality, disconnect, and even completely crash, causing it to be 100% unresponsive and wont respond until being placed in charging case overnight. Appears to be something wrong with the circuit board inside it. Sound control works ok. Like many BT headphones, they have a sound control independent of the device sound control. If the bt headphone sound is set to max, there is more noticeable distortion of audio. If you accidentally hold the sound up button for too long while sound is maxed out, the device will sometimes start beeping repeatedly without stopping. The only way to stop it is to turn them off which causes them to crash. This appears to be a firmware bug. Additionally, the app is horrible. It requires dozens of tries to get it to connect. It is not fully translated either. Connecting to Bluetooth on windows devices is also a pain. My laptop straight up refuses to connect to them. I had to use an external USB Bluetooth module to connect to them. Device shows promise. If you want to take the risk and they end up working for you, its a good value. If they dont work correctly, expect little help troubleshooting as the company does not publish much support info in English.

Nearly perfect. But too flawed.
These are a big step up from the UTWS1. The battery lasts what feels like forever. The fit is nice, but not perfect. The two pin version is near useless since it doesn’t fit most IEM’s. Meaning you have to use an adapter, but MMCX works perfect. The biggest issue I’ve had is random disconnects. If my arm blocks the headphone it disconnects, and has to be manually reconnected. Super annoying. Update: the left one stopped charging unless plugged in making it near useless. I wanted to like these so much, but seeing others with this problem is a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this product in its current state.

The perfect addition to my MMCX modded Koss Portapros
I've been using Koss Portapros or some variant of them (RadioShack Pro 25/35) since I was 10 years old in 1996. I was really excited when they came out with a bluetooth variant, but I broke 3 pairs of them in a year and a half due to the somewhat clunky "wired wireless" design. Instead of buying a 4th pair I looked into modding them since I knew they could be better. First, I soldered and epoxied in some MMCX adapters and just bought a nice wire, but my modern phone doesn't have a headphone jack! ...So when I found out that a product like this existed I was ecstatic! I also watched a handful of folks review these on Youtube and most had really good things to say about it, so I gave it a shot -- It's only been one day so far but I'm really happy with them! This is how Koss should have implemented their bluetooth portapros. o The call sound quality is better than any other bluetooth adapter I've EVER used. o The audio sound quality is outstanding -- enough so that I can tell a difference between my own Mp3s and music from streaming services o They are at least as loud as my wired Portapros ever were plugged straight into my phone. o Probably specific to Koss Portapros but this device provides stronger bass and sounds a little less bright than the factory Koss bluetooth adapter. I think this is because these have a much better & stronger internal amplifier. It will take me some time to get used to this, but I think the sound is more true to the original audio! I use my headphones for at least 12 hours every day and am always very particular about such things, so I will update this review if anything changes! They are at least as loud as my wired portapros were

Is quite solid for it's price, but not without a couple of quirks
These adapters have been solid for allowing me to connect to my own IEMs wirelessly. There is a small noise floor, but for someone who is sensitive to these things, I didn't find it to be a problem. However, while it does its job well, it has a couple of flaws that in practice have come to annoy me and make me choose other earbuds from time to time. I do find them handy for when I want to listen to particular sets of earbuds, however. Quirks: They always connect at full volume, even after turning it down. When I do forget about this feature, it really blasts my ear. I do not know when the case dies, but when I do, the earbuds no longer turn off when connected to the case. Which makes sense, but it can still be a little troublesome. Occasionally, even with charge in the case, the earbuds won't turn off, leading me to have to replace them in the case and make sure they're off. The case is really bulky, but I knew that going in. Overall, they do their job well and especially for the price (compared to competitors), these are a solid choice. So long as those few flaws won't drive you crazy, I can recommend these readily.

Used with Shure SE425 in ear buds
These work as expected, I had no dropouts, sound quality was good. Not the most discrete wireless adapters, however they do stay inplace. I have used whilst working out but be cautious when putting back into case and wipe of any excess water/sweat from the contacts. Also not a specific FiiO issue but had a problem with the Shures getting moisture in whilst working out so make sure what ever buds you use can handle the sweat etc.

Exelent sound - rubbish mic
Mic ruins it. You literally have to yell to be audible. No calls with this one I have good Bluetooth on my phone + not the most very demanding monitors. Those guys feel at home there, bought it recently, there's a newer model.
