... to take with me to restaurants and I've been pleased with it
I got this monocle to take with me to restaurants and I've been pleased with it. The monocle really does help. I don't have any negative things to report. Two things prospective buyers should know: (1) this isn't small enough to hold by just your eye (you have to hold it with your hand) and (2) there isn't a cover for the monocle so your chest will smudge it (however, it cleans easily). The cord that comes with it is smooth and feels comfortable on my neck. The monocle is lightweight--you don't really feel it when you're wearing it around your neck.

Not Quite...
I thought this would be good for cycling where I need to occasionally read a queue sheet and putting on a set of glasses would be inconvenient. - not the case. these are unsuitable for sports. the lense smudges quickly, The frame narrow, places the lense too close to the eye and is difficult to grip when sweating. It is more a novelty then something useful.

lightweight, magnification seems correct. not gorgeous, but ...
lightweight, magnification seems correct. not gorgeous, but gets the job done. yes, it does get greasy if you keep it next to your skin as some reviewers have complained, but no harder to clean than glasses. my only complaint is the price is on the high side.
