This helps me keep my new WHITE stone counter tops from staining. It is much thinner than I was hoping for however. It is large enough however to fit right along the side of the stove.

I have a large microwave with a 14 inch carousel. I was shopping for a silicone mat to cover it and the largest available were only 12 inches. I decided to buy this item and cut it to fit my carousel. Does the trick, covers it completely so now if there's any spills, I don't have to clean the heavy carousel and risk breaking it. I simply take the silicone pad out, wash it and put it back in.

Large enough for the warming mat I purchased and I'll feel better using the warming mat in conjunction with it to protect my granite counter tops. Unfolds easily and lays flat.
