Wow! Delicious coffee and reasonable price
I started ordering because I wanted a Canadian product. Now I get because it's DELICIOUS! Full-bodied, never bitter, super smooth. I use it to make espresso and it's great in my Capresso machine and AMAZING in my Moka coffee maker. Hope it remains available. Elbows up!

Delicious
Fantastic whole bean coffee. It's a nice medium roast with lots of flavor. Just be sure to order early as it took a few weeks to arrive. There is no date of packaging on the bag, but the use by date was eleven months away, which is better than I've seen on other store brands.

A very nice medium roast, medium low acid coffee
I've seen a few other reviews that referred to this Tim Horton's coffee as a "good old fashioned coffee." I think that's a pretty good way of putting it and here's what I mean by that. In days gone by you could purchase any of several big name brand coffees at your local grocer and be greeted with a great roasted coffee aroma upon opening and a very agreeable medium body medium acid coffee in the cup after brewing. Those days are gone for a decade or two now, but if you know what I'm talking about from those days and want to experience them again, this coffee from Tim Horton's is the way to do it. This was my first order of this coffee. I turned to it because I needed something not very expensive to tide me over until my next regular five pound subscribe and save order ships a few weeks from now. I purchased this based on the reviews but honestly wasn't expecting this coffee to be anything more than passable. Well, it is more than passable. It is in fact quite good. Upon opening the bag I found beans of good quality, in good condition and of uniform size and roast. The roast level is what I'd call a City+ to Full City roast, meaning that the coffee has an evenly roasted appearance that is a medium brown, not at all a dark roast, and that a lot of the fruity character of the original varietal remains. (At Full City+ and higher levels, coffees are darker, sugars are beginning to really caramelize to the point that there is some degree of bitterness and oils begin to develop on the bean surface. None of that is the case here.) I ground a portion of beans right after opening and pulled an espresso for sampling. (For those that don't know, espresso doesn't refer to a dark roasted coffee but instead is a method of extraction where a measured amount of water at a controlled temperature is passed through finely ground coffee under pressure. Any coffee can be used to prepare an espresso.) The initial shot I pulled was spot on with good crema. On tasting there was a great "old fashioned" coffee flavor with nice body and medium low acidity. Just delicious really. I've also sampled this coffee with a drip grind in a pour-over drip coffee maker. Again, just a really nice cuppa. If you've had the (all too rare) experience of a really nice fresh cup in a restaurant at breakfast or after dinner, this coffee will remind you of that experience. All in all color me impressed when I didn't expect to be impressed. Great value for a really good coffee. Wish I could make it four and half stars but since I can't, take me word that it's a four plus star coffee at the price. I don't hesitate to recommended it for anyone looking for that "good old fashioned" coffee roast, aroma and flavor. Very nice. On edit (January 7th, 2013): The first time I ordered this coffee was because I needed something to tide me over while waiting for my next regular five pound subscribe and save order to ship. The highest praise I can give a product is to order it again. I've just ordered this Tim Hortons coffee again. And this time I ordered it not because I needed to take a chance on something to tide me over. I ordered it because having tried it, I wanted more.

Greatest Export Product Of Canada
I worked for a company that had a plant in Toronto. On my first visit, I noticed a Tim Hortons Restaurant that there were lines for the drive thru that started in the street. At first, I thought there was traffic from a wreck. I got to the plant and everyone had a red cup with a tan logo on their desk or in their hand. At coffee break I heard that the they were going to Timmy's and was asked if I wanted some. It was then I learned that it was the best coffee in the world and it was much better than Starbucks. Then I learned the phrase "double double" (double cream double sugar). Boy, they were not exaggerating the fact that it was great coffee. I brought a can back home to the U.S. with me. That was a mistake because my wife loved the coffee. Every time I returned to Toronto, I came home with a Big Tim can with me. Actually, I brought three big Tim's home. The US customs agent in the airport in Toronto stared at me and declaration statement of products I purchased in Canada. I was afraid at first that I was not allowed to bring it or I was being profiled as a drug dealer, LOL. I asked if there was something wrong when the agent declared how smart I was for bringing home Tim Hortons Coffee and he was thinking to himself why he hadn't thought of it himself. I left cash with folks in Canada and any time they sent me correspondence via fed ex I would get them to send coffee in the package. Then the worst thing happened. The company closed the plant. The worst part was all my Canadian friends lost their job. The second worse thing is my direct pipeline to Tim Hortons was gone. Tim Horton's would not ship to the U.S. for some reason. Then Tim Hortons started to open U.S. restaurants in NY and Michigan. Any trips to those states always got us some coffee, however, not the constant source that we once had. My wife is an accountant and one of the companies she takes care of is a trucking company. She discovered that Rochester,NY was a constant route that they sent a truck roundtrip every month. She looked up the nearest Tim Hortons and the driver was tasked with the job of getting coffee. LOL, Our pipeline was re-opened. My wife stepped into a Tim Hortons in St John,NB last September for the first time. She had been drinking their coffee for over 10 years. We stepped off the cruise ship and went straight there the next day we did the same thing in Halifax. We were thrilled to discover that it was being sold through Amazon. It makes it a lot easier to just click and order than all the hoops we jumped thru to get it previously. Through all of this process, I did learn one thing about Canadians. They are the nicest people in the world and I believe became this way while standing in line every morning at Tim Hortons. You want to make a Canadian tell them how much you love Timmy's!
