So far I’m very impressed with this trolling motor! Operation is quiet and moves my 17ft boat around effortlessly. Trolling motor is built well and I doubt there is a better option without paying three times the price.

It’s a great trolling motor at a fraction of the cost of other brands. I have had a few of the other brands and they were good as well but a cracked a few shafts. This trolling motor has an aluminum shaft rather than a composite so no worries about that. The power is great and no issues with the quality. I had some issues that were resolved super fast when I contacted customer service. I was surprised how quick and easy they resolved my problem. I will absolutely buy from this company again.

For the money you can’t go wrong with this unit. I tested the controller at 150 feet and it worked perfectly. Install was a little difficult I had to put my drill bits as far out as I could to make sure I didn’t scuff the base but other than that everything is fine. I’ve had minnkota and motor guide motors before and this one has impressed me. Ultra quiet and variable speed. I can even get out of my boat at the ramp and move the boat away from the dock while I retrieve the truck and trailer then bring the boat back to me. Love it. I read some of the negative reviews and this motor is not idiot proof so use common sense. Def recommendation on my part. Tight lines.

I bought this motor to mount on the stern of my kayak. I've only used it 5 days on salt water but so far the motor has performed flawlessly. The build quality is better than I expected for the price. The remote is invaluable in this application and I never once lost connectivity between the remote and the motor. The beeps the motor gives to tell you whether it's running, stopped or turning are load enough to be heard in most normal conditions. That eliminates the need to turn around and see what the motor is doing. This motor, if it continues to perform as it has so far, is a bargain.

Every works well until accessories begin to fail. The price gouging on things like charging cables, replacing remotes, and consumables like the proprietary bushings and propellers quickly eat up any savings from this purchase instead of a minnkota that you can get parts locally for. It’s very difficult to source parts. Long term this trolling motor costs you more money. YOU’RE NOT SAVING A BUCK WITH THIS ONE!

Update: was able to get a hold of the seller "aquosworld". I have to say they took care of me. Changed to 4 stars. You get what you pay for. But it was nice to see they backed their warranty. Although it took some effort I got a new motor. Will update if I have any issues with this new motor. purchased this 5 months ago, used it 3-4 at the end of the season in saltwater. its stated it can be used in both salt and fresh fyi. sprayed down every time. and then dry off and covered. come this summer the plastic guide to turn the motor remotely has broken off. thought hey its under warranty 2 yrs! called the site was directed to a motor clinic not even owned by haswing. they had no clue of what to do about warranty claims. the main haswing site is very nicely laid out. tried to call the number on there and they were all disconnected. wow. email? doesn't work. so support after you purchase good luck! nonexistent. the motor perform decent when it worked. but I used it only 3-4 times at the end of the season. also the turning mechanism seemed to freeze up after the last few times. like rust or even salt build up in the gears. the feature are nice to have in this price range but quality is piss poor and support nonexistent. DO NOT BUY!

I'm only giving 3 stars because I haven't actually installed it yet. Everything is there and so far is what I expected. I will say that I posted a question asking if the depth is adjustable. I was told by the seller that it is not. I ordered anyway because the pictures showed what was what I suspected is a depth control collar. I was correct. The unit can be adjusted for depth. Just an FYI. Update 5/28/2016. Finally got to get out on the water. Great product!! Moves my boat great, easy to deploy and operate!

Love this trolling motor for how quiet it is. It doesn't run down my battery as quickly as other trolling motors have done in the past. Had to learn how to reverse my kayak with the motor mounted on the bow. The only problem I've had is adjusting the alignment of the motor to go in a straight line forward. It tends to go either left or right and I'm constantly having to adjust. I am adding an actuator to be able to raise and lower trolling motor as I go depending on water depth.
