What is the brand of the water pump? Does it appear to be of good quality?

The Water pump is a gates water pump. In my shop we seem to get good service and life out of gates brand water pumps.

do you know if this kit comes with the spring and bolt

If I rememeber correctly, it came with everything as described. It's been a while, and I had somebody else install it.

What was the brand on the tensioner in this kit? i am wondering if it is as good as the nsk that comes in the aisin kit. thanks

I do not recall that it was marked with manufacturer. The water pump was not marked either. The entire kit was excellent quality. Note that this kit is identical to the ACDelco kit with the same part number (the ACDelco kit also comes with the Gates belt, identical water pump, etc). The tensioner may have been made by Gates, ACDelco, or other supplier.

Will this fit my 2003 honda civic 1.5?

Yes, but don't get the kit with the waterpump because after 18,000 miles the waterpump started to leak. Get a gates timing belt component kit and go to Honda to get a Honda factory waterpump so you don't have to change it twice within less than 2 years like I did.
