Arms do not stay up - monitors sink down, I don't understand how to keep them higher and off the desk.

I dealt with the opposite issue here is what worked for me on the triple mount stand (TechOrbits) without any monitors mounted bring left and right arm to a close position you should see the letter (Z) position grab your Allen wrench and begin turning (+/tighten is counter-clockwise) if you want to keep the monitor up position lift the arm up and begin turning slowly 360 you'll feel the arms getting stiff and if you want to keep the arms down then press down on the arms one at the time and spin (+/tighten is counter-clockwise) till you feel arms lighten after test arms for up and down position it should stay put and easily be able to adjust as needed, hope this helps you. If this didn't help you can always call for tech support they will walk you throughout the whole process.

Question 2

What is the overhang required underneath the desk?

Not sure what you mean... if you mean the thickness of the desk itself then anything as thin as 1/2” to a few inches thick would be fine. If your asking how deep your desktop should be to the back of the monitor mount base then i’d say at least 16” but really, you could mount this on a 5” board. It all depends on how much desktop area you are wanting.

Question 3

I have three monitors. One is 27 inches and the two side monitors are 24 inches. Would I be able to angle the side monitors inwards (curve them in)?

Yes you would be able to angle them in. I have 3 - 27” monitors and have the two on the outsides angled in. I also still have more give in the arms to bend them in further.

Could I fit 2 27” monitors on either side of a 34” ultrawide?

I had to fabricate an extension to make this exact setup (34" ultrawide with 2 27" monitors on the sides.) Worked great and I was able to tighten the gas arm adjustment to support the extra weight (since a longer lever=more weight on the arm.) Really happy with this mount, but you'll have to be handy to make it work with that setup
