Small pieces of glass fell into the food also which needed to be thrown away. I have not dropped it at all. When I heard the sound I was looking around to find where it was coming from and noticed that the lid was discolouring at the edges and the glass is cracking from the heat! It’s dangerous. It could be a one off or maybe the lid was not manufactured properly but since I bought an dorher brand and no issues with it. ### ⭐ Disappointing *by J***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 January 2016* Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I've had this for just under 3 months & overall I'm disappointed. The non-stick surface is good, but the handle loosens and requires tightening with a screwdriver on a weekly basis. Also, the screw that attaches the handle to the lid is starting to rust.Update:I have now tried to contact Tower asking their advice but didn't receive a response so will be returning for a refund. ### ⭐ Lid explodes *by K***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 July 2017* At first the pan worked great I bought utensils to use in it as I didn't want to damage the non stick but after 3 months it was no longer anyway and last night while I was cooking the lid exploded and I had to throw all of the food away as it was now full of glass.
