Review: Absolutely Fabulous Poles - Received these as a gift for the upcoming Seven Sisters 25k in NC in April and other races since I am dedicated to mostly trail runs. Using these poles makes it especially safer on the major uphill climbs and technical aspects of trails. Prior to getting these poles I was worried about weight, size, durability, and cost. I must say, the Foxelli folding poles meet all my needs + some! While these are Aluminum, they aren't as light as carbon fiber, but IMO they are more than light enough to carry in my hydration pack until needed and while using. I even leave them together and carry in one hand while running on flat or mild down/uphill sections so I won't have to put them back together and barely know they are there! I dare to say I may not feel a difference between these and carbon fiber poles. They fold down very nicely into three sections and when folded total a length of just around 15 inches, much shorter than the telescoping poles sold. Since they are aluminum, they are lightweight yet STRONG...from my understanding carbon fiber poles while lighter are also much more fragile, and with me sticking the poles in between and on rocks, I wanted something that will hold up to the punishment. So far so good after a few runs with no scratches, dents or signs of weakness in the poles, and they help this 180 lb trail runner up the hills with nary a bend in the pole (but even then they come with a 2 year warranty if anything should happen to them). And while I received these as a gift, I still didn't want someone to overpay for equipment, and these are almost ridiculously affordable, a 1/4 or more of the price of other reputable brands! These can be used for hiking as well as trail running and are a great option for someone needing this kind of equipment!

**Q: The lower piece detached from the rest of the pole. It looks like a loop became unhooked. Is this repairable?**
A: Might need to disassemble the poles completely and then assemble them again, as it is highly likely that the tension is not holding the piece in place if the pole is not put together properly :) Do not hesitate to get in touch with us directly via a message if any further assistance is required!

**Q: are they recommended for trail running of 100 km?**
A: They are very strong, adjustable in length and have multiple trips.  What you need for trail running is beyond me.

**Q: I am 6' 6" - any thoughts on how these will work for me?  planning on doing hiking in new mexico rockies this coming summer.**
A: My door frame is 6’6”. I adjusted the hiking poles to their maximum recommended extension. My hands are properly inserted in the wrist straps. You can see I have about a 90° angle at the elbow. Seems to me they should work for you at the maximum extension.

**Q: What is Foxelli Folding Trekking Poles country origin ?**
A: By the way, these poles are terrific regardless where they are made. They fit in a carry-on bag (though the TSA may consider them a potential weapon.) 

They are sturdy, extend and collapse easily, and adjust for climbing or descending in a few seconds.

Love them! Excellent quality. Just right for travel. They are fine for those over 5'1", but may not work if you are shorter.
