Really good quality monitor and have two of these set up for work and work well together. Great picture and refresh rate and look good and perfect size for what was needed.

A great price for a very high quality screen which is very clear. easy to assemble and connects straight away.

This is really good value and the picture on the monitor is brilliant. Some reviews have mentioned the terrible speakers, and they are indeed correct, the speakers are dreadful! Tinny sounding and quiet. This has been easily fixed by adding a soundbar (see photo: MAJORITY Atlas | Portable Bluetooth Soundbar for PC | 20 Watt Computer Speakers for Laptop, TV & Projector | 8 Hour Rechargeable Battery Playback | USB, SD Card, AUX & Headphone Jack - £15.95). Add the price of the soundbar to the price of the monitor (£113 when I bought it) and it's still the best price you'll get for a monitor this good. I'm using it mainly as the screen for my laptop, to work from home, but I've also got it plugged into a streaming box, which works v well too. I definitely recommend it, but you really need a soundbar too (hence knocking one star off)!

Using as a screen for working at home. Decided to replace my old 21 inch Dell, which I was straining to see properly. Saw this as a warehouse deal and went for it, largely due to the fact it was cheaper than a lot of the smaller monitors. Glad I did as it's so much clearer than my old monitor, both due to the bigger size and much better colour/contrast & definition. Very pleased with it.

Let's face it, most monitors are about as exciting as watching paint dry. But this Philips 271V8LA? Now that's a right corker. It's like the difference between watching the telly on a pub telly with dodgy aerial and settling in at the cinema with a pint and a bag of Minstrels. First off, the size. We're talking 27 inches of glorious Full HD. Spreadsheets? More like spreed-sheets, mate. You'll be zooming in on those cells like you're CSI investigating a rogue comma. Films? Don't even get me started. Action scenes will have you ducking for cover (especially handy if you're working from home and your other half decides to unleash the hoover). Now, some might scoff at the "VA display." Sounds like something your nan would get up to at the bingo hall, doesn't it? But let me tell you, this VA malarkey delivers colours that would put a parrot to shame. That dodgy Photoshop job you did on your mate's holiday pics? No one will ever suspect a thing, because those sunsets will be positively tropical. And here's the best bit - it's got something called "AdaptiveSync." Now, I'm no techie, but all I know is that fast-paced games look smoother than a freshly shaven head. No more jittery graphics making you look like a right mug online. You'll be dominating the battlefield like a one-man SAS squad. Look, all I'm saying is, this Philips monitor is the ultimate upgrade. It's big, it's bold, and it'll make everything you look at pop like a bag of fireworks. So ditch your old, tired monitor and treat yourself. Your eyes (and your online gaming cred) will thank you for it.

A great computer monitor, very good performance, connected almost straight away, very clear and bright,easily adjustable and very good value.

Turned on , on arrival , sound blasted my eardrums , press button controls at base of screen . Cannot turn it down ? … use PlayStation or computer video and audio controls on screen to send very low audio to the screen : the colour is soft as I like it , can be brighter , I set all to medium easier on eyes ; only has 1 x hdmi although write up states 3 ( will get a splitter ) computer/ PlayStation / printer I needed 3 ; but price is excellent for what I received 27 inch sits on my desk and visually just right ; will buy a universal handset controller to point at the thing next to control sound and on/ off

Great. The screen is a little faded but its not noticeable if you’re a new user.
