I remember being pleased to see that it was made in my home town of Portland, OR. It was a wonderful and innovative idea! And it lasted for years. I finally had to replace it three years ago because the sponge had worn thin and was starting to disintegrate. I was excited to find them at a local tanning salon and later on Amazon. The design and the price haven't changed. One thing that has changed though is the glue that's used to hold the sponge to the wand. I can now only get about 20 uses out of this thing before the sponge falls off. I have to order a new one at the start of every summer and hope it lasts through the season and have been through three so far. What was once a great product has become a disappointment.
