How rigid she the plastic? Is it soft and flexible, or stiff and sturdy?

I just toured from Copenhagen to Amsterdam with this fender on a carbon Enve fork. It's the correct stiffness, it works great. Half the tour was on dirt. I used zip ties with the rubber bands for extra security. 1000 miles of mud and rain in 3 weeks was no problem. A really good fender.

What keeps this from slipping? Or skidding down forks?

The Rubber straps are able to be adjusted to fit in multiple positions to fit nearly all forks, also providing non slip resistance.

Does anyone know the maximun diameter of the straps used to mount on forks? Not interested in what forks they fit on -just a measurement.

The strap is 3 5/8" long. The last set of holes on the strap are at 3 1/2".

Will this work on a 29 inch wheel?

A 29 inch wheel is the same as a 700C. You'd have to look at the width of your tires, though, to determine if this is wide enough. Most of the time, someone saying a 29/29'er is referring to a MTB wheel and those run quite a bit wider than this is specified for (max of 38 mm, so that would be a 29 x 1.49 inch tire in the MTB world and that seems overly narrow to be an actual MTB tire size).
