I have the 2000 and would definitely recommend the curve helps keep the blade engaged which makes cutting even faster. **Q: What are the advantages of the Bigboy 2000 (curved blade) over the 360 (straight blade) ?** A: The curve on a pull-cut relieves pressure on the wrist as the tension is in the fingers as the teeth bite and hold the saw down on the wood, which saves from a sore wrist by having to push the saw down onto the wood; and a pull cut is easier than a push cut on the arm muscles. **Q: how does this compare to say a 21" - 24" bow saw?** A: A folding saw will work in tight areas where a swede or bow saw will not fit (pruning branches in a fruit tree). Is it faster? Not faster than a 21". Maybe as fast as a 24". Bow saws shine in 30-36" lengths where the blade can remove a lot of wood on each stroke. It's kind of apples and oranges here.... **Q: Can the blade be sharpened?** A: Maybe. The blade teeth are impulse hardened and very hard.
