However, you should not draw more than what your specific vehicle requires for not going into hyper flash mode. I found that 6 ohms is not enough resistance, and therefore, draws a higher amperage than you would want (> 2 Amp) and that puts the wattage on the resistor above 25 watts, which may burn the resistor. The problem is that the current is converted to HEAT by the resistors. Yes, unnecessarily producing heat. If you're replacing a standard bulb (27 watts), the minimum you should use is 8 ohms; the current will be less than 2 Amp and under 25 watts.I did a bit of experimenting and found that I needed between 16 and 18 ohms to cancel hyper flashing, so I installed two 8 ohm resistors in series (one attached to the other, and both in parallel with the bulb). It is now drawing a bit above 1 Amp, turn signals work fine with or without lights on, and resistors run a bit cooler. Wattage at this point is about 13 watts, so not critical if you use 25-watt resistors. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I needed *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2017* I replaced all of my brake lights with LEDs which caused the cruise control to stop functioning on my 1990 Mazda Miata. I wired one of these in parallel with one of the brake lights using the provided wire taps and my cruise control works again. I'm sure these would work to fix hyperflash issues, but in my opinion you are much better off replacing or modifying your flasher unit to work with LED's instead. Otherwise you lose the low power consumption benefit of using LEDs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Solution for Hyperflash *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2017* These work perfectly to stop hyperflash when I replaced the incandescent parking/turn signal lights on the front of my 2014 F150 with switchback LEDs.
