The kid was a lot of fun to put together not difficult very nicely done. The box makes a good storage container is sturdy and pretty and lovely little pamphlets on each animals with directions. I’m putting together with granddaughters 8 and 10 . After doing one together they caught right out and kept going. They loved it.

Great beginner sewing kit for kids, comes with everything you need. Made a great Christmas gift for our daughter and the price was a good value as well. They fit in the palm of an adult hand when complete. Gave 4 stars because some of the paper backing on the pieces is really hard to remove and some of the pieces need to be trimmed apart. Overall I'd absolutely purchase again as a gift.

Bought this for my 6 yr old granddaughter. Both of us loved this product. Each animal is individually wrapped (except for thread-which is in it's own bag and are full skeins of DMC thread-so there is plenty). I love that everything is so well organized. My GD did not have to hunt for every item she needed to make 1 animal. The wholes are bigger and more obvious so as not to frustrate a beginner with a needle and thread. The needles are plastic and perfect for little fingers and have large eyes for threading. The material of the animals is not felt but rather a stiffer thinner version of felt. This material makes it easier for a child to hold and sew at the same time. The stickers are clearly defined and precut but for one 1 mm that needs to be snipped. I liked this as they don't get lost before using. We made these putting the stickers on before sewing and some after sewing. The igloo was better before and animals that had bigger stickers like the otter & puffin. One of the most fun aspects of this product was opening up the bag of fluff which comes compressed. My GD loved cutting the bag and watching the fluff billow up. It's like a magic trick to a child. You don't need a lot of stuffing in the animals so there is a lot left for other projects. The instructions are pictorial. The only thing I would add is that the instructions do not tell you how much thread to use for each animal. We wrapped the thread loosely around the border of each animal 4 times then doubled it. It seems like a lot but you are knotting the ends of the thread together after threading through the needle. A double thread is going through each hole. My GD is not a crafter but she loves animals and she loved making these. I bought them during Amazon Days for $20.

Love these little felt animals! My kids love sewing and this was a super fun project for them to do! They enjoyed it! The animals are super cute — and the directions are easy to follow! Thick enough to hold the thread and the stuffing!

I've now purchased 3 of these kits. Our quadruplet 5-year-old boys have loved learning to sew, and they love to create these darling animals! We first tried them when they were barely 4, and only 1 boy finished his animal. It's been stormy lately, and we're stuck inside a lot. I got them out and this time, (almost a year later,) they had So Much Fun!!! Each boy finished his, and all wanted to do more. I ordered more kits and they've kept these guys occupied for hours! They animals are cute, and a nice gift after a play date. I love seeing the boys learn the joy of creating, and also improving their dexterity and fine motor skills. I Highly Recommend this kit!
