I dont know what you mean by asking if the baskets sit right in the filters. These filters are used when you drain the oil from the fryer into a drain pot. Once complete, you pour the oil back into the fryer. You should drain and filter your oil every day. We also recommend the use of the MirOil Fry Powder for extending the life of your oil. This invention is making me save so much oil, instead of changing the whole bins every few days, we can filter and clean and keep for 2 weeks! The buttons on the side could be a little more solid but resist commercial dishwasher so what can I expect
