The perfect keyboard for everyday use, gaming and, if necessary, work. Keys are very responsive to light touch, standard keyboard layout, different covers for gaming keys if required (WASD and another set for FG and some other keys). Backlighting is pretty stock standard for an RGB keyboard. Utilises iCUE software for Corsair products, which is used to control the type of backlighting and the speed of transition between colours. I haven’t messed around with this to much yet, but there are something like 8 different presets with the software, and you can change the speed from quite slow to very fast. The keyboard being mechanical is louder than a standard keyboard (your cheap $20 dell keyboards for example), however being the MX Cherry type of mechanical keyboard it is quieter than other MX options available. Great keyboard with good build quality, but it comes with a hefty price tag. My suggestion - buy it on sale. Note- I paid $215 in November 2018

This keyboard seems like a tank. Great sturdiness and chassis. Palm rest also feels planted when clipped with the board. Coming to the keys, I went for brown switches and damn it feels quality under hand. Perfect balance between silver speed and blue switches was all I wanted. It is Tactile, comfortable and fast enough. If you are a developer you surely will enjoy this. I feel the price is a mind blower for a lot out there but If you can afford it, you gonna feel the justification few years down the line and also I at my time of purchase k70 mk.2 was pretty close to this one, hence I got this. It's a flagship product, hence you'll get all glory of RGB and customisation. I hope corsair's service is also as nice as this keyboard is. Edited It started showing chattering issue after 3 months. Didn't expected this with a flagship keyboard from Corsair. After 5 months the replaced one started showing issue of autotyping. Hence one more replacement has been done. So it has been replaced twice. I strongly recommend not to purchase this product

The Cherry MX Brown keys really help to still have the "clack" of the mechanical keys without too much distracting noise and I find them really nice to type on. The iCue software is slightly confusing but not too difficult to figure out. Sadly, the lighting profiles won't activate until your computer boots up so your preferred lighting choice will take a while to activate. You get to save 3 different lighting profiles in the hardware and you can swap them by pressing the profile button on the keyboard as well. Otherwise I'm quite happy with how sturdy the keyboard feels and the wrist rest is pretty nice but it will tend to attract dust. Nothing regular cleaning can't get rid of though. I was a bit worried when I first put the wrist rest on as the plastic clips felt a bit flimsy but they attached just fine and I haven't had a problem since I got it. The keyboard also comes with textured keycaps for WSAD, and QWERFD with a keycap puller. All in all quite happy with my purchase and glad that I decided to invest in this keyboard.

Garbage ICUE software, and the keys could have come lubed for this price
